Brickworld 2013: The Video Game layout
Several gaming builders and I built and displayed gaming creations from Halo, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Team Fortress 2, Super Mario Bros, Pac-Man, Fallout, Call of Duty, Super Smash Bros, and Minecraft, and even some classic Nintendo consoles!
About this creation
You can see all these photos and videos on Flickr as well. Also, I provided links to my own creations on Mocpages as they come up in this page.

Mass Effect: Normandy SR2 by Ben Caulkins (Benny Brickster), nominated for Best Spaceship:

Mass Effect: Reaper by Imagine Rigney:

Halo Holographic Cortana mosaic by Sean & Steph Mayo (Siercon and Coral), as well as my Halo: Reach Sabre:

Team Fortress 2: 2fort by Alec Mauer (BrickTec):

Super Smash Bros: Peach's Castle by ChiLUG members Dan Church (DR.Church), Casey McCoy (Casey M.), and myself, nominated for Best Vignette (my first Brickworld Awards nomination!):

Halo Frag and Plasma Grenades, M6D Pistol, M6C PDWS, M45 Tactical Shotgun, M363 Sticky Detonator, Rat's Nest, Call of Duty Ray Gun, and Davis French's (lego27bricks) Nintendo consoles in the background:

Halo Assault Rifle and Battle Rifle:

My brother and sister made those 2D Nintendo and Pac-Man characters. Dan Church made the Piranha Plant.

Davis's Super Nintendo, Nintendo handheld consoles, and Atari joystick:

Fallout: New Toronto by Simon Liu (Si-MOCs) and Night Hawk_:

I don't know who made the Minecraft head. It's hollow, so people with a small head could wear it. The Wreck-it Ralph was made by my 11-year-old cousin Michael.

Minecraft world by Brothers-Brick blogger Chris Malloy (porschecm2):

Bioshock: Rapture by Imagine Rigney:

Bioshock Infinite: SongBird, also by Imagine:

Ben always has something insane to show for Brickworld. 2011, a wearable Halo Master Chief suit. 2012, a Covenant Assault Carrier. 2013, this awesome Normandy from Mass Effect.

Our display's award winners!
Imagine Rigney won Best Mecha with his Mass Effect Reaper:

Sean & Steph Mayo (Siercon and Coral) won Best Artwork with their Cortana holographic mosaic (see it in motion in the first of the videos below):

Imagine won yet another Brickworld award! Best Creature, for his Bioshock SongBird:

Davis French (lego27bricks), builder who built the Super Nintendo, the Nintendo handhelds, and Atari controller:

Imagine, builder of the Bioshock mocs and the Mass Effect Reaper. 2/3 of his mocs won Brickworld awards, that's incredible.

These pics were shot during set-up on Thursday, June 13.

And finally, a few videos for you. Walking around the Video Game layout:

Since I was going to destroy these mocs anyway, let's make the destruction as epic as possible!

Not clearly shown: a TV behind the Battle Rifle's stand, where we played lots of Halo, Surgeon Simulator, Castle Crashers, N64 Mario Kart and N64 Smash Bros.

I thought this Video Game layout was a great idea and I definitely want to do this again but even better in June 2014!

Nice builds! The Cortana was really cool, how does it work? P.S. Did you ever pick up all those bits from the smashed builds? :P

Great recap, despite a *slight* bias for Halo MOCs. ;) Looks like you brought some fantastic models, one of these years I'll see them in person...

Man, I really wish I was there, these video game themed creations really get to me! Is there any website where I could get a better look at that Fallout - New Toronto moc? If there is, could you reply with a link? (Fallout might be my favorite video game) Anyways, great job, and hopefully I will get to see some of these (updated) creations next year!
