Not even the darkest are safe from the Horde. I present Rurmuax, Makuta Hordika, the Fell Shadow.
About this creation
Rurmuax was a Makuta who watched over one of the Southern Islands long before the Great Cataclysm.
At a certain point a while before Teridax's takeover of the Brotherhood, Rurmuax was hunted down by a group of Toa.
One of the Toa spotted the Makuta and wildly activated his Zatth, but unluckily for all involved, the nearest Rahi were a large troop of Visorak, which the summoning Toa could not control.
The Toa were all killed by the Visorak, but Rurmuax was stunned before he could use any of his powers, and subsequently captured.
He was mutated and unable to shapeshift, and although he did retain many of his original powers, they were greatly limited. Additionally, Rurmuax's sanity degraded quite rapidly.
He was last known to be aimlessly roaming the Southern Islands.
Rurmuax is, in my opinion, one of my best MOCs.
Warming up for the Bio Cup.
Next up: Ehlek and Kalmah revamps, Bio Cup entry round MOC
Awesome work! He reminds me of a wild boar. His feet and legs give a impression of this, as well as his head with no visible neck, flat snout and tusks. I like his hands, too, bulky, but he needs no other weapons then. I heard rumors, that my Ortjato Norin would like to have him in his Beast Corps...Why did you give this invincible looking warrior such a tragic fate?
Quoting Snaggletooth B. Motörhead
I shoulda thought of that :/ Makuta Hordika :O
Eh, the Hordika concept can apply to anything, really. I'm sure that I am not the first to make one. Besides, I just built this MOC then needed to make a story for it, and I decided that it looked somewhere between a Hordika and a Makuta, so... :P
A short yet solid build. He looks pretty heavy, both as a character and as a MOC, must have some serious weight to it. I love the foot design and how it integrates with his shin armour, and the little touch of using the thicker, flat parts on his chest instead of the more curved slizer feet and so on. I don't really see the makuta aspect though. If anything I'd pen this guy as a Dark Hunter.
hm. It's nice and all. I don't think I really like it. I think you've reached the point where no matter what color you build in, your stuff comes out strikingly similar to your other mocs. There's just nothing about Rurmuax that stands out to me. There's no... invention. He looks great, he's very well constructed, his form is perfect, but it's like the wii u Mario games: He's got no soul. Sorry to be so overly harsh, but I figure this is more helpful (or at least honest) than "great moc chro keep on brickin buddy :)))))". Anyways, hope it helps. Oh, and some of those parts looked painted... Is it so?
WOWO Chro, I agree about that best MOC beeswax ;).
The feet seem too small, but the legs are great, and I like the arm's use of the Pakari. (Sill trying it find one of those on Bricklink XD) The torso is outstanding, and the head is a thing of beauty. (Or, a thing of ugly, as far as looks go XD) (and yes, that is a complement) (yes, I like parenthese XDDD)
Overall, very good job, bout time you get a spot on my faved list :).
