Sooty and Sweep
About this creation
A couple of busy weeks have taken me away from the bricks. But today, I thought I'd treat my kids who are both crazy about Sooty to this little build. For those outside the UK, Sooty is a long running show staring the eponymous glove puppet teddy bear and his friends. Gags normally involve water pistols and custard pies, and the frequent use of the insult 'sausage brain'. I admit it, it can still make me chuckle.

Well, as much as I love British TV, I am unfamiliar with this one. I looked it up and saw that these are hand puppets, which makes your LEGO representation even more impressive. What I love about it is the pronounced cartoon feel of the whole thing. Some of the most expressive work you've done yet. Well done, David.

Another classic comic pairing. I think that Sweep looks the best of the two. I think that you've got his melancoly expression just right and I like his square, red nose.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Nice to see you back. Hahaha brilliant, you have captured their characters perfectly. You need to build the rest of the gang now.
Soo, and if you remember him the rather ferocious dog Butch might be worth a go. http://sooty.wikia.com/wiki/Butch

Quoting Tris B The welcome return of your off-the-wall oddness. My kids watch Gumball all the time, perhaps I should become a better father and take it as inspiration.
Gumball is fun, you should try it in LEGO.

Quoting matt rowntree How can one not chuckle at "sausage brain"? Sadly, here in the grand ol' U S of A, sausage brain would be considered defamatory. XP I've only seen these guys once a very long time ago, but I still remember laughing at them. I guess "Punch and Judy" are universal concepts. Fun stuff David. Missed ya lately.
One of those shows that accepts kids' innate potential for mischief.

Quoting Topsy Creatori (StoveTopCreator!) Sounds like a cute show! Then you British really know how to do tv shows! I hardly ever watch anything here any more. But I do watch, thru Netflix, all the great British dectective series! I will see if youtube has any clips of these, so I can fully appreciate your representation of them!
Here's a classic 80's episode if you want to check out the show - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esjZ6daqQlk
