Long ago I started this project, wich I've completely destroyed and rebuilt so many times...
I've been inspired from a lot of other builders (too many to name all of them) and I've to thank them, because creating is sometimes difficult, and share those creation is a great gift. Now I'm sharing this, hope someone find this helpful.
In this last version I've restarted this project by rebuilding the bow (now at an 80%), I've seen different good looking techniques to make bow and headrails, after mixing a lot of them this is the result:
There's no shaky bricks, every single stud is completely framed into another piece, old LEGO style :)
For the rest of the frigate new pics will come, until now there are 8 midsection, 14 main guns each side and 22 studs wide.
In this bird's eye view I wanted to show the proportions between length and width, but it's also a nice shot of headrails and catheads ;) I'm sorry by the way for the colors in the middle part of the upper deck, it hasn't been tiled yet. The back part of the ship shows the structure under the gundeck, so a lot of work is still needed.
In this picture is visible the gundeck from inside, looking from the main mast to the bow.
...and there's also the captain of the Ariel come to visit this frigate's progresses.
N.B. Ariel is a bluecoat polacca based on "The Beauty" original design, from Sebeus I (thanks, really!)
