This is my Offensive Power moc for the epic group "Decisive Action". As you can tell, tanks are obviously not one of my strong points, but I am pround of myself for this, as it is very unique, and way out of my comfort zone. Actually, vehicles in general are not my strong point. I usually just stick to small vigs and dioramas, but enough with the talking, let's get to the reason you clicked on this! Enjoy!
Great tank / tracked vehicle thingie. I appreciate that some people actually go and try to cover up all the exposed studs on the MOCs. I had ideas for a nex tank with three treads (from a Secret Agents set I think) that I am going to do sometime in the future. Good job again.
I have a personal thing with DA so I'm just going to be an objective reviewer here. The tank looks good but I immediately see a few problems. The turret is very high which gives it great range but at the cost of stealthiness. You WILL have a hard time using this vehicle tactically because of how far away it can be seen. The chassis is a good chassis but is probably a lot less all terrain than as it was designed. The framework around the tracks is low and with the center mounted track, there isnt much room for suspension as it helps hold the two sides together. The outside tracks are a bit better and show some more thought to suspension. In summary, it is very nice from the lego creation standpoint. From the military weapon standpoint, it will get the job done, though other tanks can likely do it better. Then again, the DA ruleset is flawed so if this gets ridiculously popular, you can prove me wrong.
The chubby look is what sells that design, IMO. Since the top of the tank and the tread platform can be detached, I see you building a fun squadron of these tanks with modular features, all sharing the same means of locomotion. Nicely done!
