Audi R8, 5-wide. Not sure if its the V8 or the V10 when it's clearly a straight 4.
About this creation
European super cars are all notoriously difficult to make small scale and minifigure compatible, I'm not sure why I bother, (its probably because car construction is more portable and can be done elusively in many locations around the house, avoiding the domestic glare of my wife).
American cars proved better when constructed five wide so I thought I'd apply the same principal to a European one. My first is this, the Audi R8. A true supercar from the company that replaced BMW as the one favoured to be driven by people described by a word I can't utilize in this family friendly website.
As can be seen through the progression of pictures, as usual I can't claim to have created an exact replica but a characterture would suffice.

Er, I've used some horrendous, "dirty" techniques in the assembly, some of which I ashamedly reveal here. Don't try this on LDD folks!

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist Very cool car, I wonder if that Airbender can squeeze out some extra mileage? ;)
Not sure what he can achieve with what must be fire nation technology but I suppose in the avatar state, Aang can pretty much do anything, including fuel consumption management issues. :-)

Those white bricks are so hard to keep in tip top condition. Dirty techniques are really rather cool.

Quoting claw paradox try making it bigger, and with seating for 2 and a roof. nice techniques anyway.
But then it would fail to reach its priority objective of fitting into my town.

Quoting Nick Barrett Looks good at this scale - the R8 is the one Audi that doesn't seem to be driven by... you know.
Until I can afford one. ;-)

SC, you actually have some rules you can break on it you can't on real, for example you can put 2 binocular parts right next to each other (they are combined)

Awesome techniques! One of the best reasons not to use LDD, you can't break the rules! XD

Very nice! It looks pretty accurate to the real thing (though i would change it so it would be the spyder, since this doesn't have a roof) i see the front headlight brick behind the grille is cracked.. they must be the most often cracked part out there! i have a ton and at least 50% are cracked!

Great work, you have nailed all the key features amazingly well at this scale, very recognisable!
