Rebublic Bomb Ship
Republic Clone Ship
About this creation

Alright. Somewhat 3 months ago i uploaded my first creation here at MOCpages. However i kept building on it, and here is the new heavily updated version. Ive been working with this updates for 3 months from the last upload, wich makes the building time, the planing and the time to photograph...around 1 year. Manny hours of awesome and fun work is behind this one. Well here we go, I present to you (probably very few who is actually gonna see this) this piece of lego that ive really put my heart in to!

So to start of with, Im a real heavy star wars fan and to build star wars lego was the world to me when i was a kid (It seems the old feels are back). Therefore it was obvious that i would build something to fit in the star wars universe. I wanted to build something from my own head, but still look like something that could be from the movies. Why i picked grey as my base color was just becouse that is the one i got most of, and also becouse grey, combined with red, gives a really republik-iuos look to it. Without further do, lets get to all the specs and features of the ship.

So the main thing this ship is built to do is to carry and drop bombs. However, it also got plenty of room that could be used to transport clones or cargo.

The ship is devided in different sections that all got different purposes. I will start of with the cargo/clone transport room wich is the middle part of the ship. As i said it can be used for what the assignment demands. In my specific ship there is 8 seats for clones with weapon stand. It is also is equipped with 4 beds. Both the clone seats, the beds and the middle section can easily be removed to change the interior to customize the ship for the mission.

Moving backwards in the ship, we get to the bomb area. The first thing we find is a steering wheel that has a mechanic function that opens the bomb hatch underneath the ship. This section also got an opening that are used to get the bombs in to the ship in an easy and practical way. The ship can carry up to 10 bombs in the back bomb area, however if the cargo area is used for bomb storage it can carry significantly more.

The steering wheel is connected to another wheel that can be reached from outside the ship.

This area also got an escape pod that can carry 8 standing clones (though it will be very tight). The escape pod can be opened from the inside.

If we take the ladder up one floor, we get to the deflector shield generator. This is the power source for the protective shield that the ship has. You can also operate the back canon manually from here, trough the window.

From the far back, to the front, we find the cockpit. Some stair steps back to the left is the door and to the right you get to the place were you operate the right side canon of the ship.

Under the ship we find 5 retractable landing gear. One at the back, two in the middle that carry the most weight and two at the front. On a plain surface, the ship can stand with only the 2 middle and the back stand. However, with this two extra you get more possibilities to land on rough surfaces and it gives overall extra stability.

The ship has a magnetic spot under the ship between the front and the middle landing gear. Here you can put a missile or use the ship as a drop ship and connect a speeder or a smal walker.

The ship has a main engine at the back, and two hyper drives at both sides.

Quoting Tim C Wow. Great first build. Love the shaping of it and your attention to detail on the interior. Some nice little splashes of color in there as well. You're more fearless than I am with that "studs out" design. Well done. Welcome to MOCpages and I can't wait to see what's next.

Quoting Toa Infernum Wow! Amazing work! Some tiles on the top might make it even better. ;)
Thanks dude! Agreed. I maked it pretty much without studs at the back part but I run out of tiles. Though it gives it kind of an old school star wars lego look wich i kind of like in some way. But again I agree. would probably look better with no studs Thanks for your comment!

If this is your first creation brought to MOCpages, you will be a great builder. I love the detail on this model, and how it rocks the classic Lego stud look.
