Utilitarian pickup
Mod of the truck included on LEGO set 4437. Includes some little acessories that you can easily build.
About this creation
Hi, After turning the simplistic jeep of the set 4433 in a Toyota FJ, this time was the truck of the set 4437 that was modified. The idea came when I was packing pieces and found what was left of the truck, and initially I went to dismantle it for parts but then I started to put a piece here, a piece there, and I ended up changing my mind and try to make a MOD: Result: my LEGO workshop was even more messed up than it already was. And I made this MOD here too. To do this, I relied on Toyota Hilux 1990, however I am not very pleased with the result and I think I can improve to be more like the real car, so for now I prefer to call it an utilitarian pickup. The idea is to be a support vehicle for a possible display with my Toyota FJ (I forgot to include it on the pictures: P) and it has building techniques very similar to that other MOD. I left some space in the lower side of the car for details underneath, like in my Toyota FJ, but I haven't done it yet.

The trunk lid opens and has enough space for a set of small accessories that I created to complement the MOD.

Detail of interior, similar to the Toyota FJ.

This MOD is very versatile to put on a display, and I had several ideas that can be used. On a display construction:

Because it's possible to buy these old pickups at a good price and are very practical, they give an excellent first car (special participation of the LEGO mini me: D)

As utility pickup of a workshop:

Well, as I said before I am still not very pleased with the result. If anyone has ideas or suggestions to become more like a Toyota Hilux, are welcome :)

Quoting Senator Chinchilla . Nice pickup, I'm not sold that its a Hilux though. The rear arches in the bed are nice, and so are some of the details.
Thanks!
Quoting Kenji King Nice, I like the details. A calm version of the Police PursiutŪ set. Could you check out my page a little too? Thanks
Thank you! Sure, I'll do that. :)
Quoting Joao Campos I've commented it elsewhere - Hilux or not Hilux, who cares?, I like this pickup just as it is. Very nice details.
Thank you! I think you're right, this pickup is cool even don't looks really like a real model. ;)
