Getting into system vehicles got me thinking about some of my favourite type. Trucks, rustic and post apocalyptic.
So I made "Betty" which is what the driver (Jack) calls his rig. Just basically went for a post apocalyptic/redneck type look with an olive truck that has that somewhat armoured and militarised feel whereas the parts like the chains and the horns on the bonnet add to that apocalyptic/redneck feel. He has a couple of toxic barrels in the back as he's in a transportation job and Betty also features a sorta-working crane and folding rear. It would've been a normal truck but I couldn't position the wheels right to look good so it became a hover one.
Whilst routing through a tub of lego parts that I haven't been through in years, I found a tan base and though ol' Jack and Betty would look good on a desert type of scene. So I used some tan to give depth to the base and found some plant pieces aswel. Then I just made a couple of little scorpion and vwa-la.
Not too bad I think seeming's as I do next to none of this vehicle type.
I like how all the curves fit together on this truck and contrast with the chains, spikes, and horns. Making a car and turning it into a hover car because the wheels don't fit-- That's happened to me, too. Also, I love those scorpions!
