Mukratan
To kickstart the teasers for my webcomic in the making, I give you the last son of Teridax: Mukratan!
About this creation

So This model has changed quite a bit since his rendition in the days of my Visual Epics. The legs are now fully poseable, for one, and can readjust easily to stand on soft ground. The new feet are arched, further adding to the figure's ability to stand up straight. I also removed the weapon, seeing as the hands do not allow for one without very clumsy "scaffolding". Now for some background information: Mukraatan, the last son of Makuta Teridax, is a fusion of a Kraata and a giant rahi beast. He does wear a mask: the Kanohi Hakara, the Great Mask of Domination. It projects a zone of control around the wearer, twisting the will of those caught within. Prolonged exposure will warp the victim into a mindless drone, dependent on Mukratan's will to do anything. Mukraatan can expand or focus this control zone at will, causing things like minor squabbles across great distances or a devastating mental assault on one target. He was to be Makuta Teridax's final tool of vengeance should he fail to carry out the Great Plan. Teridax has fallen, so now vengeance has awoken! ~Coming Soon~

The arms are now much thicker than last time. One of the problems with the older versions of this figure was that the bulk didn't quite match the height. With these new editions I'm hoping to fix that. And now with the upgraded limbs he can do far more than stand around and get smacked about like a giant punching bag. Which is good because he was a villain too easily beaten in the Visual Epics. That will be changing.

The other arm for consistency's sake. Nothing more to say on the matter, other than one of the armor segments is a Robo-Rider head which really takes me back. Oh nostalgia... Either way the I hope this looks better than what it previously was. I was also attempting to color-coordinate with the armor plates on the thighs. That has been a long-standing issue with this figure. I was thinking of finding a way to add wrist blades, but it felt like too much.

The back is relatively unchanged. I'm not sure if I want to armor it up or not. The figure is already very busy, but time will tell. If anyone knows perhaps of black armor plates that I could use, comments and criticisms are welcome. I removed the wings too. As of writing this I can't remember when exactly when, but the pieces I have on hand are not enough to make elegant proportioned wings. They would either be too small or to clumsy and I'm not having any of that.

Ah now for the legs. I've noticed Bionicle figures have a very hard time standing up on soft uneven ground. The advantage to using the Shadow Matoran bodies as feet (Chirox and Vican respectively, because those guys are jerks) is the way they curve. It creates an arch which, like in actual feet, helps immensely in balance. If you make a leg structure like this, you need to find a way to secure the support struts. It's all too easy for them to disconnect when you reposition the legs.

And now for a sample of what I'll be doing with my story in the coming months.... GAH IT PIXELATED!!!! I'll need to find a way to fix that (increase the jpeg quality on saving or save it in a different format...). Either way, I've found Mukraatan can grab and hold Matoran. So while this image won't actually be in the webcomic (unless I change my mind), it's still a prototype. I'm not sure how I feel about the font. I may change that. Regardless, comments and criticisms are welcome!!

Quoting Garnira Returns Anyways, He looks great as before. The only changes that I would make would be a little more detail on the feet and perhaps replace that chirox mask on the crotch. with the format change on your pictures, I suggest using PNG instead of JPEG. They generally look better that way.
Thanks for the tips. And yes I've come back! I've got big plans for these MOCs this summer too. How've you been?
