The Python UAV is the product of a joint project between the AUDF and NCA to create a Gen 6 UAV fighter. Both nations shall receive unlimited production rights to this aircraft forever.
About this creation
The Python is our most high tech aircraft. It is the first aircraft to use our advanced optic camouflage which runs at 96 frames per second and in IR and UV to reduce streaking and prevent detection. It is coated with radar absorbant material and also has several measures in place for thrust masking to reduce air disturbances and heat signatures which can give it away. The plane is highly maneuverable and has its own combat AI, removing the need for a pilot back at base. The AI can react faster and control more than a normal pilot. It has 2 inbuilt 7.62 machine guns on either side of what sort of is a cockpit. Using staggered thrust vectoring vanes and a lift fan, the Python is fully VSTOL capable and carrier-ready. The Python is also armed with 4 ALDS emitters to destroy any incoming missiles and even 40mm flak rounds. There is one on the tail between the engines, one on the top, and one on each wingtip.
Some basic stats:
Top Speed: mach 5
Dogfighting speed: mach 2-3
Flight time: 11 hours without refueling

Seen here, the Python has had its underwing pylons removed from the hardpoints to preserve stealth. All its munitions are in the bay. It is currently carrying the following:
6 Camera guided air-2 anything missiles (black, forward wheel)
6 Heat seeking air-2-anything missiles (white, forward wheel)
6 Camera guided bombs (black, rear wheel)
6 Laser guided bombs (blue/white, rear wheel)
It is also equipped with 2 cameras, a standard ball camera, and a wide angle camera for sweeping the ground .

The Python can also be equipped with a bomber loadout to allow more heavy ground attack. The loadout pictured here has a slightly different layout of the wheels in the rotary bomb bay.
It also has ordinance on the wing pylons which requires the plasma stealth to hide. The plasma stealth effectively ruins the heat signature masking so it is a trade-off.
This loadout is using our antimatter bombs but with the cap lowering imminent, we are working on a new chemical explosive that can yield 10-20 tons even in this small package (500ib max).
It currently has equipped:
36 500ib antimatter bombs (only 46.6 milligrams antimatter, sleep easy)
12 Pylon mounted 500ib antimatter bombs
6 camera guided air-to-anything missiles
.50 cal minigun
bomb targeting camera with 38x optical zoom

The Python is not limited to just bombing and it does have a ground attack loadout as well. It has on it right now the following:
Same multi-purpose loadout as the first model
2 Scatter grenade cluster bombs each holding 48 10ib grenades (these can be thermite, HE, fragmentation, etc.)
6 camera guided air-2-anything missiles
20mm ballistic rotary cannon, coilgun accelerated
30mm chaingun, coilgun accelerated

Air superiority is one thing this fighter excels at. In its normal state, it has the advantage of surprise but when bigger targets need killing, it brings along some additional ordinance and some better weapon firepower.
12 heat-seeking air-2-anything missiles (white, in bomb bay)
12 camera guided air-2-anything missiles (black, in bomb bay)
2 pincer air-2-air missiles
6 air-2-anything missiles
.50 cal minigun
20mm autocannon, coilgun accelerated

In addition to wasting tanks, relaying intel, and obliterating aircraft, the drone can even engage ships with missiles, depth charges, and torpedoes. Ships and subs finding themselves fighting a Python may soon have a ticket to Davy Jonesí Locker. The loadout is as follows:
12 depth charges (depth programmable by AI)
12 camera guided tigershark stealth torpedoes (bomb bay. These use an impeller propulsion system and sonar absorbency paint to reduce noise signature and get closer before detection)
12 Mako high speed camera guided torpedoes (pylons, these travel much faster to take out light ships, fast attack subs, even PT boats.
6 air-2-anything missiles
20mm ballistic rotary cannon, coilgun accelerated
40mm semi-automatic cannon, coilgun accelerated

This is the entire ordinance it can carry (not all at once!). this just shows the diversity of this amazing aircraft.

UPDATE:

NCA engineers have modified the Python to have more powerful engines as well as our biaxial thrust vectoring system. This should push the Python to the maneuverability standard of the Cobra and other Gen 7 aircraft. It has also had its ALDS emitter network redesigned to free up space bfor the engines and make the wingtips viable locations for aditional ordinance.

Quoting Matthew Sylvan Never commented on this so, here it is. The overall look is really nice, not a lot of working parts, but nice. Looking from technological aspect, I have two things that bugs me. One is the MGs. Those small 7.62mm guns won't damage an airplane, you need a bigger caliber. The other is the huge missile bay. With that much ordnance, you can't have a landing gear (which would have been a big plus for me) both in your creation and real life. Fix it and you are ready to take off.
Okay, I can up them to .50 cal with a quick stats change. landing gear, I see space for it (but flimsy gear would be the only gear that'd fit). Since the ODF is not in Warzone, a redesign of it is already on my plate. I'll be sure to add gear just for you.

Quoting Builder Allan That's a really cool design! Not needing space for pilots in the front gives it an interesting look :-)
It makes it more compact. This thing is about a third the size of my Cobra. Small = stealthy. That combined with all the stealthing tech it has make it the master of hiding.

Quoting Achintya Prasad Very interesting design! I can see a little F-22 in that MOC. Please, Zach, check the Peace Corps.
I didn't choose the wing profile (it was joint project) but I never take outside inspiration. I design whatever comes to me.

Good job on this. That looks a lot like my old scepter UAV. Exact same wing profile. Have you seen it before?

No I havent. The wing profile is on the upper half which is the half Navy did. I will have to look at it now. Thank you!
