About this creation
Previously on Battlestar Galactica:

Tech: "Okay, Sir, scan complete. No anomalous readings. DNA shows no artificial polypeptides, and no sign of brainwave manipulation compared to the archived files before his capture. It's really him, Sirs."
Korund: "Looks like it, Kevin. Welcome home."
Strummer: "Thanks, Doc, Commander. I think I'll get some rack time."

Bryant: "Oh, I knew it was him. There's no way they could copy that goofy grin of his!"

Topsy: "It's going to be fine, you know. Everything's going to work out..."

Bryant: "Yeah, Dude, once you get back into the rotation, it'll be like it never happened."

Strummer: "Thanks, guys, you know it's been a rough couple of days..."
Bryant: "Yeah, sure, Kevin..."
Topsy: "We understand. We'll see you later."

Poseidon Fleet.

Captain Nancy Dendauw, CO Battlestar Triton, flagship of the Poseidon Fleet.

She has been summoned to meet with Admiral Mahan to discuss the recent escape of the captured Earth pilot. The escape that was aided by a member of her own crew.

The consequences of loosing that valuable intelligence asset will be addressed, and a new strategy will need to be devised.

It is a meeting to which she has not been looking forward...

Guard: "Sir!"
Dendauw: "Is the old man up yet, Sergeant?"

Guard: "Yes, Sir, he's been expecting you."

Dendauw: "Well, this ought to be good."

Admiral Mahan: "Captain."

Dendauw: "Sir, we still have not determined exactly how they..."

Mahan: "Never mind that. What we need to do now is take advantage of what's happened."

Mahan: "I've been informed that the transponder placed on the Scout Ship has been detected by one of our listening posts..."

Dendauw: "I suppose my confidence in Cougar's abilities to assimilate him were over estimated..."

Mahan: "The road we take is less important than our final destination. We still have the element of surprise on our side, and we may actually be able to eliminate more of our foes than we had originally expected."

Mahan: "Prepare the fleet. We'll jump at 0-600."
Dendauw: "Yes, Sir!"

Later on the Triton:

Major Leda Ouriana, call sign Cougar.

Commander of the Air Group, Battlestar Triton.

A pilot with more kills than anyone in the Poseidon Fleet.

But the sudden loss of Hitomi and Strummer has left her feeling helpless.

In spite of her hardened military mind-set, being abandoned by her two closest companions has been an emotional shock.

She would be sleeping alone tonight...

But she does not have time to dwell on this now. She has a big op to plan, and tactics to develop for the upcoming battle.

Possibly the most important battle of her existence. Time to hit the shower.

Six hours until the briefing...

She tells herself not to think about them.

There will be time for that later...

Galactica:

Hitomi Sukuza, still in shock as to her predicament aboard Galactica.

In spite of her freeing their lost pilot, Strummer, and defying her own people, she sits alone in her cell, like fish in a bowl.

Will a rescue be attempted on her behalf? Or did the Triton crew figure out that the escape was her doing? Will they want revenge?

The only way to survive is to keep her wits about her, be prepared to take advantage of any opportunity afforded to her...

Chrissy Phipson, Executive Assistant to Parrington Levopolis.

Life following Levopolis' rescue has been a tedious repetition of filming, editing, and recruitment of 'talent' aboard Galactica.

Having her own private quarters has been a blessing, allowing her to avoid the still frequent excitement over her celebrity among the crew.

Peace and quiet is what she needs now.

That is, until tomorrow...

When it all starts again.

Parrington Levopolis, CEO of the Greco Adult Industries Amalgamated, or GAIA. Technological innovator, and venture capitalist.

Having lobbied heavily to join the greatest adventure in the history of mankind, Levopolis' original task was to document the journey with his patented 3D holographic film.

But now his primary occupation is generating new material to keep the crew entertained the best way he knows.
Placing himself in the middle of it all is icing on the cake, so to speak.

However, the nagging feeling that there will be more to his role aboard Galactica has been becoming more frequent.

He knows his true talents have yet to be utilized to their fullest potential.

What that will entail remains to be seen...

Athenian Base Ship:

Somewhat comforted by their new found allies aboard Galactica, the Athenian heads toward a regeneration unit. Their recent interaction with the crew members on Galactica, as well as on the planet's surface, reminds the mechanical being of a time long ago.

A time when their people were still biological in nature, after the fall of the Twelve Colonies.

And when the Cylon occupation had ended.

Life was hard, and resources were limited.

But the memories of life in her original form are still clear.

It was a struggle for basic survival. Food, water, shelter. It was a loosing battle against the ravages of the nuclear fallout.

A solution had to be found, otherwise there would be no one left.

Avoiding bands of ruthless mercenaries by maintaining a low profile was a priority for the group. So as not to arouse suspicion from those recruiting 'volunteers' for the cloning experiments.

All while working alongside those with the skills and supplies to attempt what seemed impossible at the time.

Her group took a mechanical approach to achieve long term survival, attempting to transfer their consciousness to robotic forms.

The mercenaries were beginning to make more incursions into their territory, increasing the urgency of their work.

Through the night, on generator power, using parts left over from the war, they continued.

Little did they realize that their time was running out.

In fact, the group did not even realize that they had already succeeded.

Until they saw their old bodies through the eyes of their new forms.

Across the various Solar Systems, among the disparate fleets, they are all unique beings. But with a common thread between them.

They all have their own demons...

Their own fears...

Anxieties...

Ambitions...

Yet soon, they will all share a common destiny.

To be continued...

Quoting clayton Marchetti So the captain of the wee little battlestar and his fleet are going to attack the Galatica ! If cougar is soooo lonely why not go and order another Hitomi? I'll have a Hitomi on rye! Sounds like an awesome sandwich. I can't wait to see what is so special about the 5. For some reason I'm thinking maybe these 5 are Athenian descendents and don't realize it.
You'll have to keep reading!

Quoting Wes Pitter Real cool stuff here. I'm just getting into BSG myself, and want to know: do you have any spoilers in your episodes? From the several I've read, it seems you're doing parallel storylines, not actual episodes, but I'm just curious. Great stuff, fun to see the progression of your building techniques and story-telling.
Actually, my story begins where the TV series left off. But the only spoilers are really just at the beginning of season one. For the most part. But I do jump back in time this season, to the time just after The Fall. Thanks for watching!

Quoting Semperi Afendel As usual, your work is flawless. But, if I may make a suggestion. When you arrived at the conclusion, after "Previously, on BSG" or whatnot,I had no idea that it wasn't a recap. If you said "And now the conclusion." Or some such line, it would make reading it just a bit easier.
I see what you mean, and that's how they did it on Trek. But this is how BSG did it on TV, so I just went with it. Not always a recap, usually more of a slight rewind, and picking up where it left off. Thanks for watching!

Quoting Topsy Creatori (StoveTopCreator!) Oh my, all dressed up and definitely somewhere to go... down that tunnel to where?! Some kinda Greek Toga Party? Some kinda Toaster Fest? Some kinda Galactic Gala? Some kinda Mind Awakening Ceremony? Such a pensive, philosophical bent this episode has towards the end. You always leave us wondering and wanting more! More of the story, more of the fabulous photograghy, more of the wonderful builds like those of the historical setting the Miss Toaster sees in her 'mind'. Quite a bevy of beauties in this one. And of course, where there are beauties, there in Levopolis! :)

I was trying to figure out the walls in the Athenian corridor and gave up after about 2 seconds in order to get back to the story. SPOT ON!

The way that the sentences get shorter and shorter gives the effect of the cutting between characters getting faster and faster... and then the theme music cuts in :) Another cliff hanger ending: great structure. The bit of building that made me wonder how you did it was the folds in the sheets on the red bed. Simply and neatly done.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment there, David! It's easy to spend a lot of time working on the beds to get that looking right. So I just keep the 'fold' parts handy to switch back and forth. Levo's is a little trickier with three occupants, so I just left it flat ;)
