I just decided at first to revamp the Metru-Whenua and made a custom torso aswel as upper arms. They connect to the body differently than my usual stuff but I think the overal look works well here. I wanted to keep his classic shovel/bucket like weapons but just added stuff onto then to bulk them out to suit the newer look. They can both be clipped onto his back for storage.
Seeming as Whenua was made first, Vorzakh wouldn't be as good due to lack of certain pieces but I think I did ok here. I literally worked my way top to bottom on this guy as in the head was made first and the last things were the legs. I don't think anyones' done as much of a custom Vahki head as I've done here and preliminary shots given to the public have come back with stating that the head is generally too large. Oh well, the whole Vahki is larger and at the end of the day it's something different which I think is good.
This isn't an official shot at a custom Vahki so to say as this guy was made 'after' another one. I may return to do a Vahki better than this in future where it'll be a singular moc.
Great designs. The Vorzakh is well made and very different from the actual set.The head design is extremely well done and very close to the original. The armoring on this is really nice, and I love all the added tubes for wiring. Whenua looks like stuff you've built before but it's still really well done. the front of the body is really impressive. I also liked what you did with his digging tools :)
I love Whenuna's Torso and weapons....
The Vahki head is truly a first, meaning I have never seen someone create a custom head that resembles the original so well. Your mixture of lego system parts and technic always seem to amaze me; certainly since I don't do so well with mixing the two.
