Spirit and his brother Carrion lived simple lives. They ran a small shop selling weapons and while Carrion sold weapons Spirit forged them. He was a talented smith and forged weapons that everyone wanted. Even the toa bought weapons from them. One day while Spirit was working on a blade for a client he heard something in the woods. Still holding his hammer he went to check it out. What he saw was a shadowy creature attacking a toa of water. He could tell she was hurt and tired and he knew she couldn't keep fighting much longer so with no thought for his own safety he charged into the fray. As he neared he dealt a mighty blow with his hammer that hit the beast in the leg. He heard an odd sound and realized he had broken the beasts leg. The creature limped off into the woods and never came back. Spirit turned and ran to the toa who had passed into unconsciousness. He called for his brother who ran to the clearing as fast as he could. Working together they managed to drag her back to the shop and then upstairs to their living space. Carrion knew a little about healing and did what he could. She awoke two days later and saw Spirit asleep in a chair near the bed they had put her on. He woke soon after and noticed her watching him. He introduced himself and asked her name. She told him it was Darna and asked what had happened. Spirit explained everything and when he finished she just stared at him in shock. She had been sent to kill this beast because it had destroyed several towns and couldn't even scratch it and this young matoran had broken its leg with one hammer blow. She was about to say this when Carrion walked in and saw she had awoken. He introduced him self and asked if she was feeling any better. She said she was and then after a short pause offered them a chance to be toa. They accepted and after packing up everything and a last look at their home set off. They arrived at the training camp and were almost separated but Darna would have none of it. She ordered them kept together and as an added measure took a position as the toa of their group. Their group only had one other matoran in it a Po-Matoran named Carst. They were all fast friends and were inseparable. When their training was complete they along with the other training groups all lined up to receive their toa stones. Helryx herself was presenting them. Spirit was last up on the stage and as Helryx handed him his stone he instantly started changing. He grew taller and more bulky and felt stronger than ever. On his back was a familiar looking sword and he realized it was the only sword he had made like this. It was his gun blade Despair named thus because it was only fit for a toa to wield. As he looked at Helryx he registered the shocked silence that had descended onto the room. Helryx's shock turned to anger and she ordered him killed. All but Spirits friend were eager to comply. Spirit knew he couldn't win and turned to the window behind the stage. With a sad look at his friends he leapt through it and plummeted to the waves below. As he swam to the shore he knew that from now on he would be hunted and hated. So when he reached the shore he walked as far as he could and never looked back. Over the years he tried many things even working with the Dark Hunters for a short time. When Makuta took over he managed to destroy an entire legion of rahkshi and was hunted by both sides for the entire reign of Teridax. When the matoran moved onto Spherus Magna he chose to vanish into the desert and was nicknamed Outcast by both the Agori and Matoran. He wandered the wastes for months until a familiar toa of light found him...

Outcast without his weapons.

Design for Ruin belongs to Coconut Fanatic just going ahead and saying that. Now this is the result of a three hour cycle of edit, hate, then edit again. But he turned out pretty good. Ruin sprang from a long running wish to have Outcast use an axe and feeling that this was a good time to give him one. If you guys think of a way to improve him let me know and I'll try it out. Thanks for looking :)

Quoting Reaper the Ultimate . I really like this. The build is really nice, I like it a lot, and the colour scheme is great. I don't like custom masks as a rule, but it has worked well here. It's sad that you aren't very well recognized. A little better photography would help to show off your creations a bit better. A white background with clean white light (like a desklamp (what I use)).
Thanks for the tip Reap I'll work on a better setup and thanks for checking him out. The build quite honestly was the worst time I have had on a project because it was my first custom build and I had to try to be conservative because I had to save a few of the parts that would have helped for another secret project. Anyway thanks for looking at him. On a different topic I have two mocs to post very soon. One is a revamp the other is a tribute to Crowe's Ancients.

Quoting Clever Crowe Because of the concept of him as an axe-wielding warrior, the bulk those feet (used as shoulder armor) works well on the OUTside of his arms. Nice thickness and strength. But consider some greeble to add closure to the bicep area on the FRONT of each upper arm. For his size, Ruin is wonderfully proportioned. Looks good too. Really love your choice of Mask here, too. Fits his concept well. Cheers!~
Thanks for the tip on the arms. I'll see what I can do. Also thanks for checking him out and I have a surprise coming soon. A very big surprise >:)
