STV Lego Club Presents: The Avengers!
About this creation
Hello MOCpages!

For the last school year, once a month, the kids of the Saint Thomas of Villanova Lego Club have been working hard on a group project to be displayed at BrickWorld this year! They had a number of choices for the theme of their group build and voted on "The Avengers."

A special thanks to Lee Jones who helped with bricklink orders of hard to get parts and the alien figs for this project. Thanks Lee!

The kids (all in the 7 to 11 year old range) built about 95% of what you see here. I have done the "polishing off" work that included tiles and little stuff, but the kids made this happen. So please enjoy as the STV Lego Club presents the final battle scene from The Avengers!

So congrats to the STV Lego Club! If you'd like to see this in person, it will be on display at Brickworld 2013! Hope to see you all there!

Till next time true believers!
~Chris and the STV Lego Club.

Quoting Nick Pascale Chris: this is pure harassment: Nick: Mr. Xenomurphy commented in the group Mr. Xenomurphy's Superhero Contest 2013. Quoting Nick Pascale Please feel free to remove my entry! I'd do it but I cannot figure out how to! I am severing myself from you MR. XENOMURPHY FORVER! You even left this comment in the sidekick thread, where it is completely out of place. After all you did, I must assume you did everything on purpose, therefore I'm not sad that you left, especially not if it makes you happy. Ta-ta. He is both immature and very NASTY!!! People like him have no place here no matter his building skill! I never put anyone down I try to build people up You saw how I handled those who mean mouthed Heather's death! I am upset! And so sorry to annoy you!
Nick, I'm sorry you feel that way. But I can honestly say that Xeno did NOT single you out, nor is he harassing you in any way. Your entry MUST follow the rules of the contest (just like everyone else's). I did try to help you out with the rules but I can only do so much. All you have to do is understand and follow the rules like everyone else does and you'll be fine. Good luck ~ Chris.

and how I made all the changes! SUPERHERO: Since I am using this for the SUPERHERO CONTEST here goes the blurb: B) Show a superhero/-villain as a baby/kid where it uses its superpowers to handle an everyday child situation. Build a vignette, min. 16 x 16, max. 24 x 24. A reasonable(!) overhang is allowed, like a plant, arm, leg, etc. A one stud wide black base around your creation is allowed. It counts as overhang. I AM A SUPERHERO (hard to be a "sidekick" since I am 63 years old and on JULY 26 I will be 64 years old! I will be increasing the size by 6 studs as soon as I get the pieces! Well CAPTAIN MARVEL starts off as a KID - BILLY BATSON and changes into an ADULT to solve and handle everyday situations this is a perfect entry. Especially with DC COMICS - THE NEW 52 where they play up on this fact! It is 18x10 so the area is square inch a bit smaller and doesn't exceed the requirements. the extra 2 studs is made up by being rectangular not square like most! It has a black base as requested! I hope the judges and viewers enjoy this entry!

Fantastic action setting Chris. Level of detailing is definitely worth looking at twice or more. Keep up the great work.

To all the young members of the club: You've done a terrific job! I love it and not just because I'm a huge superhero fan. I also think it's very kind of you, Chris and Lee, that you helped those talented kids.

Man, you know you're a slow builder when you have a legion of kids helping you and you still only post once a year. ;) All kidding aside (no pun intended), the kids did some really cool stuff here, I especially like the Stark building. The use of trans elements and subtle slopes is fantastic, and the tan lines protruding from the side are ace. Hat's off to you for trading so much of your time to give those kids a really memorable experience.

Those children did some nifty work. It's "Average" at my standards, but we all started off with average or poor stuff. >Eric
