The Krikan Tribe
The collection of Krika revamps I've been working on, all VOATs on the same original character.
About this creation
The Krikites are the direct descendants of the old legendary Makuta Krika.
After his essence migrated to Gala Magna and the mutating vapors changed him, he decided to spawn a race of beings like himself.

Ratika

Firstborn of the Krikan Tribe, prominent in power and wisdom, Ratika leads and protects his brothers and sons with fiery determination.

His 6 arms and 4 legs, all equipped with the typical krikan ridged blades, make him a terrifying opponent.

Despite the impressive wingspan, Ratika's body wheighs too much for him to fly, making him one of the 4 earthbound Krikans.
When in need, he can run on his 4 legs and 2 lower arms at impressive speeds, even by the tribe's standards.

Not that he minds that very much.

Kraar and Tirak
Kraar is a pure fighter. His warlike personality got him such a renown to earn him the nickname "Bloodbath Krika" in a world populated only by mechanical life-forms.
Tirak is an elementalist. His Power Horns can shoot electric arcs, and when the weather turns bad he can summon lightning on himself as a buff, or on his target.

Akra and Ikrit
Akra was not much different from his older brother Kraar, and that cost him his left arm and eye. He has been reconstructed with a powerful new arm, as well as a scanner wired directly into his eye socket and an energy weapon, but the new arm weighs too much to let him fly.
Ikrit is the tribe's second youngest member, technically a child. Krikan cubs sport insect-like wings letting them buzz around like insects until they develop the ability to fly. These wings fall off during adolescence.

Ritik and Kraia
Ritik is in what's considered his teens. In this phase he just lost his baby wings but still hasn't the power to fly on his own. Since childhood, he displayed an unsettling malevolent, scheming attitude, and he doesn't seem to be changing for the better.
Kraia is the second oldest, and the tribe's arcanist. A strong sorcerer both in knowledge and magical power. His reflexive, introvert character reflects a life of studies. He never learned to fly.

Kitik and Trakar
Kitik is the most mysterious member of the tribe. At times he disappears, even for years, refusing any information upon return. Still, family's family, you don't get to choose it.
Trakar's prowess in flight is unmatched. He is also by far the gentlest Krikan you could meet, and thus he's the one who usually takes care of the spawnlings until they can kill on their own, and he's also the youngsters' flight instructor.

Krikans don't need to mate. When the Tribe wants or needs a new member, they just make a larval body for him, and then they pour some of their essence in it. This leaves them weakened for some time after, so usually no more than 3 or 4 "fathers" join in in the creation.
Krikan larvas (like little Kriitar here) are not self-sufficient, but they are very durable.

Krikans are not Makuta, they were created as highly intelligent Rahi, but the residual Antidermis in them can, in time, turn them into full Makutas like it happened to the eldest, Ratika.
They all share their onwn language, based on the ease with which they can pronounce hard sounds like "K", "R", "T" and the vowels "A" and "I" as opposed to how hard it is for them any other sound. All "A"s are pronounced as "AA".

Bonus: more experiments with Blacklight.

I took many in different conditions because I wanted to get at least one "just right", but I found that each has its unique merits.

I'll add notes as they come to mind.
.... nope, still nothing.

They all look great but Akra is my favorite of this group. The cybernetic arm and attachments look great on him. I need to try some blacklight shots myself and see what happens.

Quoting El Barto ! Looks like you had a lot of fun putting this tribe together, Chief! But I would have thought those pieces glowed in the dark?
lol why else would I build build them? And sadly no, they are "milky white".

I see: perhaps I should have refined that to "fanhood of Lego" :) If you haven't figured it out by now, Sir - ALL the Bionicle Mythos has passed me by. I just saw cool Lego bits I could make monsterbots with, and started MOCing. Years into it, I discover just how deep their backstory is: THIS is why I never build "Toa of This" and so on. I have no right to emulate myths I haven't bought into. So I struck out on my own with the Somniferrian Series, and haven't looked back... best not to try re-inventing The Wheel. XD

Quoting Clever Crowe Ratika, Kitik and Trakar are my faves. Ratika is fantastic, man. Nice writing for the backstories also. (It is evident that, over the course of one's fanhood for bionicle, One has acquired... SEVERAL Krika's for One's Collection. =) Bah, who'm I to point fingers?: I have no idea how many Reapa's I snatched up, over time.) Cheers!~
Well, it was an acquired taste. About Krika, I used to have only one, but I then found another two at a laughable price, so when I got 3 of them, I naturally started playing with those serrated claws. About Bionicle, I've never been a fan. Never seen a series or a movie (except part of the one with Michael Dorn). I only started studying that universe a couple of years ago to give people here a relatable background. And it's a very interesting, complex universe at that.

I have to say Trakar is my favourite. He reminds me of an old OC of mine who has the same role in his own tribe and dresses similarly as well. He's a gnoll in a D&D setting, but it still fits. :) I love all of them though, yet another wonderful post from you which doesn't alienate the rest of MOCpages like most BioMOCers here do... myself included. ^^;

Quoting Rennoc ~ I love the one with red! These must have been a pain to pose though, especially the first one.
You should have seen the entries for the "multi-limb Bionicle" contest a few years ago.

Quoting L.A. Miranda Gorgeous! Krika was one of the best characters ever created and he deserves descendants like those *^* I love every single one of them... Except for Ratika. If well I find most of his designs pretty interesting, I think that he's overcharged with all those limbs. My favourites are the last two, Kritik and Kratar, but the cyborg part of Akra looks great too. Well, to sum up, magnificent job, dear, I can't wait to see more members of the species! ^^
lol of course you'd like Kitic. It has the most "classical" Bionicle building style, while the others are heavy in Hero Factory parts.

Hey Yuri, this is a nice one. The fact its a tribe and as well the puristic colour scheme. Those guys remind me of a bunch of teens using these jump spring shoes. I like the look of them all being somehow weightless in the air...
