Very nice, Bob! I for one really enjoyed your updates; it felt like I was watching a truck come together at the Pierce plant! It was one of the best displays I've seen in a long time. Excellent work!

Ah, I know what you mean. The combo bothers me as well. But we'll just have to experiment and come up with a solution! :)

Ah I understand, I think it would look good next time you decide on building a new rig. I have been using a 1x2 plate with a cheese slope attached to it, and then attached to a 1x1 modified brick with stud on 1 side. It looks very good, and keeps the truck at the same length. Something to consider I guess! The other thing I noticed kinda bothered me was the lack of the ladder tip, but its nothing serious. This truck is really a great piece of work and I love all the little decals and details you put in to it!

Quoting Paulo Rodriguez Nice to see her done Bob! I was fallowing your little updates on your site! I was just wondering, why dont you add the front steps to the truck? I think it would give it a nice Arrow XT feel, now that the bulky A/C boxes are gone.
Good question...to keep the cab at the length it is, I have to sacrifice the front steps. I'd like to still use the slopes for the wheel well. Maybe the next XT can be made differently. We'll have to see. Thanks for the kind words.

Quoting Jon D Nicely done Bob! Love the whole thing! Are you keeping it original and not using the new ladder pieces?
I tried using the new ladder trusses and I did not like the truss and fence combo on the aerial. I tried doubling the trusses but with the placement of the turntable, the aerial over hung too far past the cab. Maybe on the next aerial.

Fantastic rig! I love the decals and the look of the black bumper. The wait was worth it...now it needs a baptism ;)
