Gnomus
The fearless gnome defends his garden home! I haven't posted in a while. Between school finals, brickworld preparation and drinking pen-ink, I have been swamped.
About this creation
This build, entitled "Gnomus" is partially inspired by this song from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition.

The evil caterpillar Bingo is threatening the Gnome's garden. Defending his home with a pike, will the Gnome vanquish Bingo?

The shimmering waters of the garden pond.

The Gnome's home inside the garden ornament column.

Another shot. Highly influenced by Tower Bridge.

Bingo the evil caterpillar.

I played with the texture of the ground in this build. Beneath the surface foliage I wedged various green bricks inside the brown border (much like Mark of Falworth's old water technique). Enjoy!

Soli Deo Gloria!

An eye catching MOC. I like the non-rectangular base and spotting the various mini-fig guns in the caterpillar's legs. Great use of the planet piece too. Would you like to add it to this group? http://mocpages.com/group.php/21377

Loving the irregularity of the base and the irregularity of the concept. So random, yet so brilliantly executed!

Incredible NPU's Max! Love the texture the various greens give off and the planet atop the gnome's house really draws the eye and is a nice contrast to the tan and greens surrounding it. Love the caterpillar and can't wait for more builds! Cheers~

One of the most beautiful builds I've ever seen, absolutely gorgeous colour choice. The shape of the base adds a lot as well, any chance it was inspired by Legohaulic? Anyways, back to the build itself. The shades of green create a very lush landscape, and the larger pieces add an edge of fantasy which perfectly frames the gnome and Bingo. The caterpillar design is very cool, as is the house. I think that without the Kamino piece this MOC wouldn't be quite as striking, the vibrant roiling blue is really stunning amongst a predominantly tan and green backdrop. Hat's off, a stunning build.

Lots of nice things going on, the caterpillar especially. Most of all I love the idea of a gnome defending his home.

I'm loving Bingo and the use of the planet is a sweet piece of parts usage. Great texture on the ground, too, and a clever premise for a build. Drinking pen ink? Sounds interesting...

Nice job Max, this build has many nice elements. I particularly like the use of Kamino (there, I hoth *ahem* hath changed my comment)! Bingo's eyes are some NPU.
