The Great Force War 19: The Map
Date: 2001 ABY Location: Raxus Prime
About this creation
Yurren Relm: "we should be with you by the end of the day, Conrad."

Conrad Yakerno: "Understood Master Relm, travel safe."

Conrad slipped his holo-pad into his pocket as Commander Dawn approached him.

Commander Dawn: "How long until we can get off this stinking rock?"

Conrad Yakerno: "I must admit, I'll be glad when the smell of rotting... everything... has left my nose."

Commander Dawn: "Are the rumours about the Sith true, Sir?"

Conrad sighed as he looked across the wasteland before the Republic facility.

Conrad Yakerno: "Apparently so, Dawn. Some Sith coup went terribly wrong and wiped out all the Sith."

Commander Dawn: "Well thats good surely?"

Conrad Yakerno: "You would think so, but I have a bad feeling about all this."

Conrad's comlink suddenly beeped in his ear. He raised a hand to his ear and accepted the call.

Officer: "General! We have an incoming ship. Markings identify it as Sith."

Conrad Yakerno: "Understood. Rally the other Jedi, we will go and investigate."

Commander Dawn: "Sir?"

Conrad Yakerno: "Round up your squad, Dawn, follow us as soon as you can."

A clearing within the junk heaps of Raxus Prime.

Darth Ignatious: "Finally, the map is mine!"

Ignatious smiled cruelly as he inserted his holo-pad into the map and copied the data to his device.

Conrad chewed his lip nervously as he peered over the junk that he and his fellow Jedi hid behind.

Conrad Yakerno: "Ok, lets capture him and see what he's up to."

The Jedi jumped out from behind their hiding places, landing gracefully before Ignatious and igniting their weapons.

Conrad Yakerno: "Darth Ignatious! Lower your weapon, you are under arrest!"

Darth Ignatious: "Master Yakerno! What a pleasure. Unfortunately I will not come quietly."

Before Conrad could reply Ignatious hurled a block of junk at the young Jedi beside Conrad.

Darth Ignatious: "Let us test your skills!"

The Trandoshan Jedi, Killa Sstrut, leapt at Ignatious.

Killa Sstrut: "We are skilled enough!"

Ignatious grinned as he avoided the clumsy swing.

Darth Ignatious: "Try again."

Ignatious once more sidestepped the Jedi's follow-up attack.

Darth Ignatious: "Oh, so close!"

Ignatious turned his blade and drove it through Killa's heart.

Darth Ignatious: "Better luck next time."

Ben Taran: "Killa!"

Conrad Yakerno: "Ben, wait! He is too strong for you!"

Ben sanrled and swung at Ignatious. The Sith Lord turned and grabbed Ben's wrist. Ignatious smiled slyly at the young man.

Darth Ignatious: "You should listen to your Master, young one."

Ignatious swung Ben through the air, using the Force to extend the boy's flight through the air.

Ben let out a garbled cry as he landed on a sharpened piece of metal and slid down the blade, blood pouring from his wound as his life left him.

Ignatious turned back to Conrad and smiled as he unleashed a blast of lightning towards the Jedi Master.

Darth Ignatious: "I hear you may replace Master Relm when I kill him, Master Yakerno."

Conrad Yakerno: "I wouldn't know!"

Ignatious cackled as he crossed blades with the Jedi.

Darth Ignatious: "Well I hope not. I prefer the Grand Master to at least provide something of a challenge!"

Ignatious twirled his weapon, knocking Conrad's lightsaber from his hand and blasting the Jedi with Force lightning.

Conrad grunted in pain as Ignatious walked slowly over to him.

Conrad Yakerno: "Go on then... Kill me..."

Darth Ignatious: "Not yet, Master Yakerno. You have a better use at the moment. Tell Master Relm that I will meet him on Mortis. He is to come alone, as will I."

One day later.

Yurren Relm: "Ah Rolyun, you made it!"

Rolyun Soru: "How is Master Yakerno?"

Commander Dawn: "Some nasty burns, but he'll live."

Rolyun Soru: "Goo. Master Relm, I heard about your meeting with Ignatious. You aren't actually going are you?"

Yurren Relm smiled as he looked at Rolyun.

Yurren Relm: "I am indeed, Rolyun."

Rolyun Soru: "But its a trap!"

Yurren Relm: "Of course it is! But the Force is telling me that the fate of the Galaxy will be decided on Mortis. I must go."

Rolyun Soru: "But..."

Yurren Relm: "Rolyun, I am one person. Even if I die the Republic will survive. I must do this."

Rolyun sighed as he watched Yurren turn and walk away.

Commander Dawn: "Do you think he knows what he's doing."

Rolyun Soru: "Of course he does. I just don't think he knows how he'll do it."
