Babysitting 101
About this creation
For 2013 MocAthalon
Team Jigsaw in Just Teach It!

You've been asked to babysit for the first time. It's a neighbor's house close by. So you know where to go. But what do you do when you get there?

Step 1: If you're a guy, make sure you've showered & shaved. No need to be stinky! Then get yourself over to the house on time.

Step 2: Greet the parents with a smile. Assure them that their young progeny is in good hands.

Step 3: Locate said progeny. Sometimes it's more difficult than you think.

Step 4: You've found him! Now what?

Step 5: Keep him occupied as long as you can. Some kids have the attention span of a small rodent, so go through all the toys if you have to. Hint - make a game out of cleaning up. Though it usually doesn't work. Pesky, smart little ones catch on fast.

Step 6: Things to watch for - You'll know he's hungry when he starts attempting to eat household appliances and/or furniture.

Step 7: Don't let him eat the furniture! Chase the little guy down. Careful, darn things are fast too!

Step 8: Yikes! Waiting too long to feed = nuclear meltdown! Quick grab your hazmat suit. You brought one didn't you?

Step 9: After getting properly protected, proceed to attempt to feed the child. Carbs are good. Try a pretzel.

Step 10: Parents arrive home. All is well after the kid eats and you've cleaned up. Put out any fires. Remember to bring super glue for reassembling furniture, plants, electronics. Distract parents who might notice the hazmat suit you've neglected to change out of by telling them how wonderfully behaved their little boy was. ;)

Full view of the interior.

Lastly, lest you think I made this all up, here's the house in my neighborhood where I babysit regularly!
