Hi folks! It's been a while since I last posted something. Lately I had a sudden urge to build with real bricks, so I completely rebuilt my Obsidian Gundam from scratch, using my newest building methods and style. Did I get new parts to do so? No, I didn't, but thanks to all the things I've learnt over the years I managed to use the same bricks, and improved it quite a bit. Also, posing this guy was a major pain in the...you know where, so never EVER use worn out joint parts if you want to build a very poseable mecha!
About this creation
Just for compairson, check out the previous incarnation of this Gundam.

Tough they share the same name, this unit is a completly new design, and it was developed from the Obsidian Gundam(hence the MK.II designation).

The MK.II exchanged it's predecessor's anti beam cloak and dual beam pistols for a large shield, that can act as a remote controlled drone figther, wich can provide cover fire or flank enemy targets. The unit is also equipped with two extra heavy armour on both shoulders(these can be purged if damaged). The unit also has higher mobility and speed, thanks to the newly developed Astral Inner Frame or AIF, this provides almost human like movements and faster reaction time for the Mobile Suit(Pscyho Frame inspired).

Obsidian's Equipment:

-1x Mega Beam Rifle
-1x Twin Autocannon (left arm)
-1x Granade launcher (right arm)
-1x "Guardian" remote controlled drone/shield
-2x Shoulder attached heavy armor with Heat Seeker Missile pods
-2x Beam Saber
-1x Armour Cutter Katana(optional)

Guardian's Equipment:

-2x Beam Cannon
-2x5 Swarm Missile launcher

I hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I have enjoyed building it! If I had newer joint parts, I could've taken some aerial poses, but the old, worn out parts kinda ruined it. I'll rebuild the Blue guy into a gundam next! Don't forget to rate and comment, thank you for viewing!

Quoting JACK L Very good gundam MOC. Looks very cool. (If the thigh long a little bit , that will be better. Anyway ....your Moc are very nice. )
Thanks! I've made the thighs longer on my new LDD designs not long after this was made, so they got better proportions. I'm also planning on posting my new designs, once I've perfected them, so stay tuned!

Quoting Knoll grey the elbow joints look a little flimsy and it seems like there is a bit...too much going on with all the extra stuff. other than that, its great
Actually, the elbow is quite strong(tough, I know other ways that are more stronger, I just don't have the right pieces). However, I don't really understand what you mean by "extra stuff"?

Quoting Christian Bish I have a request. Can you build a mobile suit that has the aspects of 00 Riser, Zabayna Gundam, Akuski Gundam (I don't know if that is how you spell it?), and Strike Freedom Gundam?
Right now I have a lot of other projects in the making, so I don't think I could accomplish such a build. It would require a lot of effort if I want to mix all these aspects into one...and to be honest, I think you picked the most difficult combinations out there! :D Maybe you should try it for yourself. There are a lot of good mecha frames on the pages that you could build upon, or dismantle one of my builds.

Quoting TF Twitch Very nice! I can definitely tell where the improvements have been made. It really does look the same, yet very different at the same time. An extremely clean and superb execution. Oh, am I allowed to boast that I called it when I said that your preview looked similar to your original Obsidian Gundam?
Thanks! I tried to keep some aspects of the original to make it similiar, but I used my latest techniques to bring it up to my current standard. You predicted it well, I was even surprised!

Quoting Rabid Goldfish It really has been a while. Nicely built. I've had some built, but I've been so dragging my feet on them. Can't wait to see what you've got next. ^Blub^
Thanks. The next build will have a blue, white, gray, orange color scheme(not like I have any other alternatives to choose from :D).

Quoting Green Ghost . Nice I was wondering what you might be able t build with your collection of bricks.
Thanks. Well, with this build I almost completly used up all my useful black parts(I still have a ton of black bricks and plates but those are rarely used in my designs xd),and I don't really have as much good pieces in other colors, the next build will be a bigger challange!

Quoting LTE MOCer AMAZING! So nice to see a new build from you, and IRL too! Love it!
Thanks LTE, I have some LDD builds finished too, but I didn't have the time to post them, and I'm still thinking about improving them...so yeah, maybe I'll post them someday.

Quoting Ryan Wilhelm The head is spot-on. Very nicely executed. Feet and colors also rule. I'd almost say the torso would look better if it was maybe a stud or two wider...but it looks fine as-is. Good to see you building in the bricks again.
Thanks, I also tought about making the torso's lower part a bit wider, but then it would get in the way of the rotation if I did that.

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Wow, man! This thing is sexy! Really like the feet/leg design, the skirt and head. That shield is pretty cool, as well. I'd love to see more "real brick" builds from you.
Thanks! The next build will be another Gundam, tough it's going to be a hard build, since I only have a few worn out ball joint left, but I'll manage somehow!
