Well, if it isn't our well dressed butler, Bruce Lowell. He seems none to pleased at having this duty, but he's the only one with a suit.
A tree. I came up with my favourite tree design yet while working on this MOC, using the vine/seaweed pieces I was able to connect leaves at all sorts of interesting angles. I was inspired by the dense low-lying trees which lined the banks of Cuban rivers.
The beach. You won't find finer sand or warmer water anywhere.
The main entrance to our humble abode. Ornate columns flank the door.
An overhead view. Irregular bases are a pain, but I think it worked out nicely.
The architecture was influenced by Cuban Spanish architecture which I saw in Havana and Matanzas. With Maersk blue highlights, naturally.
A balcony with a glass door for optimal viewing conditions.
The backside. I considered leaving it unfinished, but ultimately landscaped the whole thing for posterity. Can't look back and see myself as a slacker, can I?
Thanks for stopping by, hopefully you enjoyed your visit!
