Quidditch Book
About this creation
MocAthalon
Go Converse! !
Category: 11. Illustration.

I don't read many book.
But some times ago i read all of the Harry Potter books.
And something that i especially kept in my mind was the wizzard sport: Quidditch

Because a Minifig-Size Quidditch field would have been much to big i decided for building it in micro scale. That reduced the count of the bricks i needed, but details are much harder to represent.
To show you more from the field i left some of the watch-towers. But these would have been only duplicates .

The hole field is placed on a live-size book to present the connection to the "Illustration".

Also it's kind of a comfort to Carson, my teammate, who is a big Harry Potter fan and didn't had the time this year to build as many he wants to this MocAthalon.

Thanks for looking and reading.
Jonas

Quoting Tim C How clever. It's enough to give such a well done quidditch pitch, but to place it on that perfectly built book was a great touch. Took this from being a nice build, to something quite remarkable. I feature a MOC every Tuesday on my page that I like to call my Pick of the Week. I would like to feature this one sometime in the future. Would I have your permission for that?
Thank you very much for xour kind words. Of course you have the permission. (Sorry, i noticed this comment so late :( )

This is really cool. Your patience in setting this up is astounding.

The people are genius, but those viewing stands dont's look very stable, it's lke all of those pieces are just in a pile, not attached to eachother at all. They look pretty good though.

The bricks you used for the book's pages are probably the best possible pieces you could have used! Excellent! The cheese slopes used in the towers are also ingenious, and the patience required to set up the hoops must have been incredible. Impressive microscale!

As brilliant as they are, I'm not a fan of techniques that involve pieces just sitting there. Still, the hoops and stands do look fantastic, and the way you did the pages of the book looks great.

Very cool! I like the idea of using a flag piece as a bookmark. I might use that technique soon.

Awesome build again. The microscale is cool, but my favourite part is the flag as bookmark.
