J1 "Millepede" Tender
About this creation

So many wheels!

And here is a top view of the tender showing the inside of the coal portion with a little bit of the fuel oil tank showing. The lids for the Water filling caps are also open.

One of the only traits passed down from the J1's first tender is the ionic SP logo

And here it is behind the J1 on a Lone star special run from Dallas, TX to Sacramento. Also notice the presence of both the canteen and B-unit in the consist.

*J.D.'s remarks*
I think that this was the hardest car to design in the Lone Star special consist because of the many wheels and skirting I wanted to put on it. The J1 is a coal burner except that the coal is coated in #11 fuel oil which makes the coal burn hotter and slower than a regular coal burner. this tender does come with a back light and currently I have no intentions of making that light up as I'm currently trying to build this tender in real life.

Haha I meant centipede. Those words get mixed up in my head at times, I hate both of those insects. Still nice tender.

Quoting Trevor Young I have to say Im a little disappointed this has nothing to do with the NYC's Hudson fleet. Haha. The J1 gave me that idea. But about this, though Im not a fan of millipede tenders, you did one nicely.
I actually made up the millipede tender the biggest tender ever built was a centipede tender

Quoting TF Twitch I really like the streamlined look of this tender! Once again I had a look at this in LDD, and the articulation of the trucks is pretty neat. Adding opening and functional water filling ports is a very nice touch, as well. Great work!
thanks recently, The J1 was in a race with this tender and the newest mocs I posted except the b-unit was dead the electric generator blew and the engine had to be shut down. the J1 towed the dead b-unit and the rest of her consist from milepost 400 to milepost 500. note the mileposts on my railroad are 2 miles between each post. the competitor to the J1 was AC-12 class steam locomotive #5000. speeds in the race were up to 250 mph.
