Mass Effect Reaper: I am the Vanguard of your Destruction!
About this creation
For 2013 MocAthalon
Team Jigsaw in It's-a me, Mario!

"A myth common to several cultures in the galaxy, Reapers were once imagined a space monsters that consumed in tire stars. Archeologists who searched for the sources of such myths found little besides the themes of all-consuming devils that are common to primitive cultures. Although accurate information about the Reapers remains scarce, the galaxy now knows that the Reapers are not a myth-- they are a real and devastating threat." - Mass Effect 3 Codex

There are four types of Reapers. This one is a Destroyer class Reaper:

"Destroyers are 160 meters long and, in astounding numbers, make up the bulk of the Reaper fleet. They engage cruisers and other, smaller ships, as well as communications posts and enemy command centers. Research suggests destroyers are created from those species that are not harvested to make capital ships." - Mass Effect 3 Codex

Mass Effect Reapers are sentient, self-aware and have names. Each Reaper is unique -- just in case you wanted to know. Mine is fully posable: the legs bend and pivot, the head also pivots, the face plate can be moved up and down to trigger the LEGO brick light simulating the laser. The first image below is the required reference image - a screen shot from the game.

The Reaper and his little friend...

Walter - the real destroyer of the universe.

Do you think you could include a brief description of how to make that skycar? It's so cool XD I mean, the whole thing is amazing, but I don't think I have a chance of building anything other than the skycar :P

Quoting someguy sky amazing love the last pic walter the real destroyer
Thanks. Walter has always been a part of my build process, sometimes actually doing some destruction by carrying off parts I needed. He died a couple months ago, at the age of 18. But it's cool to see his legacy living on with my creations. :)

Quoting RDK 07 Quoting Imagine Rigney: No. Sorry. No instructions. It would be super time intensive to make some. Thanks for asking though. :) ----- Ahh well if you ever decide to I'd happily pay for them :) As an aside I work at BioWare (and was on both ME2 and ME3) as an environment artist. You might like to know that the team was really impressed and we all thought your work on the Reaper is fantastic!
Well, stay tuned. I may be working on some instructions in the coming months. I'll let you know. I really appreciate the response from you guys at BioWare. I didn't figure any of you would even see it, let alone message me with your comments. I'm humbled. Thank you.

Cool! Thanks. I didn't know they'd posted it over there. I was wondering where all the hits were coming from. I'd love to build the Normandy sometime. We'll see.

Quoting Elros Carnesir You need to send this to lego. Maybe they will make it an official set :p (you can send it here http://lego.cuusoo.com/)
Quoting f1r3 storm This needs to be on Lego Cuusoo. Seriously. http://lego.cuusoo.com/
Thanks for enthusiasm. But no. LEGO wouldn't make it into a set simply because it's from a video game that's not for kids. They don't usually approve something at CUUSOO that has too much violence in it, even if it gets enough votes.

Quoting Keven Burgess Cool Lego set. How big is it and how much time did it take to make it. I'm assuming that you made it with Lego bricks you had laying around?
Thanks. :) It's about 30" high and 22" wide. And yes, I pulled it together from what I had on hand. It took about two weeks to get it done.

It's amazing how you got the "harbinger of destruction" to look so real. From its eyes to its pointed ears and the yellow and white fur is so realistic. Wait, what. Oh. Sorry. BTW that reaper is stunning. Microscale city is perfect (I hope you noticed that I held back from typing "purrfect") Great games, great Moc. Where's Garrus though? =]

We are under attack... wait, is only a Lego Reaper (uff). An excellent creation (I just researched for this game to see more) and I have to say that this is so huge (have see the minifig lol) and the mobility looks great. Every destructive machine needs a destructed town also (didnt want to know what have done Walter lol)

Quoting CEO Camargo Epic win. The Reapers are very difficult to render thanks to it roundness and angles, not to mention the moving parts. The original Reaper color is also odd, but the dark blue used here is superb. It'd be awesome to see a micro Shepard in front of it. Hint: Black or dark grey Technic Brick 1x1 with Hole + 2 minifig hands (one on each side of the hole pointing down as if it was with the arms slightly open) + black or dark grey 1x1 round brick for the head.
There was a micro figure on there somewhere, but I think he fell off during the photography process. He was tucked in the corner of a building. 'Cause we all know the infiltrator class is the most popular. :)
