LTC Optimus Prime V3.1
Intro: I've really made a lot of the primes over the years, and this is by far the best so far. I thought that my old LTC optimus needed a tiny upgrade, so I went overboard and did a complete re-build. I took a small amount of inspiration from the recent TFP beast hunters figure, but I didn't make the mistakes from that. The good parts that came from that included the vehicle mode (to just a small extent) and he jet-wings. The bad parts that I didn't add, or should I say 'changed them' included not making the vehicle mode look like garbage (geddit?) and the wings don't look like butterflies. I also took a lot of inspiration from version two, unlike version two which was a complete re-mould. While I was at it, I kept the concept of the opening chest, while making it more like the G1, as well as a bit sturdier.
About this creation

Here we have prime in his vehicle mode. As I said, while it does have some aspects taken from the beast hunters prime, it doesn't look like a garbage truck.

Here's a shot from the front...

...and the side...

...and the back...

...and the completely pointless other side, considering how its the same.

Looking closer at the front, you can see it's had a huge upgrade.

And now for the transformation!

First you take move these two slope pieces to the side.

Then you take the entire front section and push it forward.

After that, the hands come up.

Okay, now we need to focus on the under side of it.

We need to get the middle section perpendicular to the wheels, so first you turn it one way at the top...

...and then you turn it the other way at the bottom. The legs should be facing the same way, while the centre has section is upright.

Now, bring the wheels down to complete the lower torso.

You now should be able to stand the figure up.

First, you want to rotate the wheels to the side.

Next, and this is optional, you could bring the legs slightly outwards.

Then you twist up the head.

Now that the head's out of the way, you fold in the smokestaks, bringing up the arms. Note, they will only fold in about 45 degrees.

Then, you fold down the arms.

After that, you twist them around.

And finally, you twist around the head.

And here you have optimus prime in all his autobot glory!

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the back isn't open like it was in the beast hunters prime.

His chest opens, as I said earlier, to reveal the autobot matrix. Unlike the previous version, no rotation is needed. Oh, and sorry for the bad image quality here.

The chest opens to reveal a piece that folds down.

When you do fold it down, the matrix is revealed.

Prime still looks cool with his chest open.

He can actually hold the matrix if need be.

Well, that sums up my epic optimus prime version three. Lego transformers will continue soon, as well as a new line of MOCs coming in the later MOCs. What will it be? If you've seen my enjin page (it goes by the name of dekershekers), I told a friend about it. But anyway, before that I have two new LTC MOCs coming up; the trailer upgrade for optimus prime and lego transformers conquest brawl (tankor's brother).
