After having built a large micro scene for the my last entry, I decided to go in the opposite direction and build larger than minifig scale for this category. Thanks to my teammate, Elliott Feldman, and the Far Side comic strip, I now have the secret to defending oneself against zombie hordes. You too can learn this secret, free of cost. The trick is... treadmills. Placing one at the entrances to your fortification is a sure-fire way to defeat the mindless shambling fools. They will walk ceaselessly, never thinking to circumvent your rolling rubber band.
The zombie's head. I had fun trying to make it look decomposed.
Battle damage and rotting entrails, always in fashion for any zombie.
A hard plasma rifle with some spare shells. One of the things which I most enjoy about building at different scales is the new uses that pieces take on.
A cactus. I had fun building this, but having just gotten back from vacation I think I've seen enough cacti for the time being.
The curving tread. Took me a while to come up with a way to do that that was sturdy enough and fit in such a thin space, I decided against simply placing the parts on top of each other.
A swampy bit.
The whole thing without any editing.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you found this to your liking!
Pure genius in both the idea and the build! I love the curving wall with all those masonry bricks, and the swamp, cactus, and rifle all look great. The treadmill is instantly recognizable and the zombie simply fantastic. Brilliant job!
