Cluches
This is the first page of "Useful Engineering". My idea is to create small and functional techniques wich can be used in any technic car.
About this creation
This is my first version of a cluch and is the one that I used in my Chevy Camaro ZL1. It works very well and only requires 5 studs long.
The green is the input and Yellow and Red are the output.
The only moveable part is the 5x3 Ang. Beam.
It needs a spring conected to it.

And this is my second cluch. It works so well as my first cluch.
The only diference between them is the space that they require, this one only needs 4 studs long.
The Green is the Input and the Red is the Output.
The only moveable part is the Cross Block 90.
As in my first version, it needs a spring wich is going to create friction with the rubber.
I've uploaded an .ldd of this one.

If anybody use one of these on his own creation, please write there that this is my own idea.

Please tell me what you think about them.

Nice clutch system! But as you wrote on mine, there is no progressiv connection between the axles. But I like it ;-) 5/5

Thanks for your kind comment on my Mini. You asked for tips on Technic car chassis - you could do worse than have a squint at this: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/342788 or, for new-style technic, see the work of Sheepo or Crowkillers. If you meant ideas for cars to build, well - just do the cars you love. Have fun! :-)

Quoting Nick Barrett Next time I do a big car I'll try this, with due credit of course. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! It was my pleasure!

Quoting Alex B Well the problem is I don't have any of those dark grey gears. Maybe I should do a parts order.
The only alternate gear That I know is the second generation of differential. But there is less probability to have one of those diffs. And it would make the cluch too big

Quoting Alex B Does it need the dark grey gear to function?
Of course it needs. The dark grey gear is what makes this cluch work. Try to build it if you don't understand how it works.
