About this creation
Category 10: Black & White

2013 MOCAthalon
Team: the Maersk Blues
My first ever SHIP (Seriously Huge Investment in Parts), coming in at 110 studs. Due to the category, I was restricted to only use TWO colors, which made the build a lot harder. Everything was made with Tan and Dark Blue: everything visible but also the structural backbone, the invisible back side and even the stand!

Only you would build a SHIP for the MocAthalon, and your first one at that. Epic work! The colour choice is very unconventional, and it payed off. You nailed the texture as well, I like the areas of smoothness contrasting the impressive greebles. |

Didn't think I'd give a 5 for anything but something "artistic" for this category. Awesome SHIP, 5 points. |

Dude, even the wrong-side-out plates even manage to look like greebles! I don't know how you SHIP guys do it - oh wait, this was your first? And in two colors? I'm amazed. 5 points. |

HOLY CARP! How does someone get this much tan? (Yeah, I know, cracklink, but still.) That's quite impressive that everything is Tan and Dark Blue. Just wow. |

Even though it looks really weird, you've really used your imagination. And I like to see think-outside-the-box spaceships. |
