Forgot to ask... did you glue the pieces? I just got thru gluing some pieces on the completed LOZ cake topper I have been working on... used Gorilla glue. :)
Thank you for the kind comments. No glue needed, but if you were to use them daily I suppose it would be a good idea. Can't wait to see your latest :D |

Hi Alex :). Amy's favourite is the second one, but she hates all the photos. They really don't do her justice |

Awesome designs. You should do some franchising for your own Lego jewelry fahion design production line or whatever it's called.

It's amazing there are so few females that are into our hobby.
Brick Chick is one of the only two I've seen on the pages.

Wow, Fantastic! Your model is beautiful, so are you children! I've had the idea of wearable Lego jewellery before, Mine would have never came out as cool as these! The cufflings are also a great idea!! Great job! =)) Thank you Alex I will let her know you said that. It will make her day :D

Wow, Joe, you had some very cool ideas for LEGO jewellery! I really like the style. The cuff links are very clever, too, but I'd prefer black axles instead of red ones. Anyway, Great job! :-)) |

Yes, you have a pretty wife -and she really has some **** to strike the pose in front of the Moc planet- but that's not the point... Even if I'm not really concerned by jewels, I do have to admit: your creations are just beautiful. Yes, fragile, but really beautiful. Stunning work on that!! |

Jewelry making has been an occasional second hobby of mine over the years. As a dentist with access to scrap gold, this gets me thinking again...
As long as you don't use scrap teeth then I would love to see the results ;). I have actually made some jewellery before too - when I was at school, it didn't help the bullying situation. |

Good looking family you have there, Joe. Love the work on the jewelry as well. Some really creative parts usage there to pull that off. I like how some of the pieces have a strong tribal look to them. It was a nice touch making a case for one of them. Well done. I hope that yields some high scores for you. |

Looks great! Oh, and the jewelry is nice, too! Some interesting designs there, especially that first one. Your wife is a real sport to model the Lego for you, but hey, she's a natural, so why not, right? Nice looking family, Dude!
Thanks Barto yeah I am lucky to have them especially as they all put up with my hobby. The first is my fave too, I think it is the most refined/delicate. |

Great to see the wife and kids getting involved. Now all I have to do is persuade the wife to model that life-size CS helmet I've been working on :) Seriously, these are really good examples of your work. I hope the judges appreciate the clever way you picked and used your pieces; and that you had the insight to step outside the obvious sci-fi/fantasy builds this was category was always going to produce.
Thanks David. They are only small but they took a long time to build and refine. I would like to build more in the future and hopefully make them a little more delicate. A Classic Space helmet sounds awesome, but you might want to build the whole outfit first ;)

What a wonderful change of pace for you! Marvelously done and useful! Kudos to your wife and two "spidey's" (your children)! and these are far from Pat Butcher (r.i.p.) she was an ear ring gal!
Thanks Nick :). Amy was very embarrassed but she did a fantastic job, unfortunately the light is very bad today so the photos dont do her justice. RIP Pat but long live Eastenders |
