"For centuries, Alderaan stood as a beacon of hope in the Republic. But the Empire came, and with one savage strike, brought Alderaan to her knees. Now, time is running out, as few are left to face the enemy. For those that remain, there is but one choice. We must fight—to victory, or death—for the Republic!" -- Jace Malcom, the Battle of Alderaan
About this creation

The Battle of Alderaan took place during th Great Galactic War when the Sith Empire under the command of Darth Malgus besieged the undefended world and layed waste to its cities. However, a group of Republic troopers on their way back from the Outer Rim escaped capture and hid in the many forests which covered Alderaan. Under the command of Havoc Squad leader Jace Malcom, the Republic Trrops staged a daring attack on the Empire, engaging the Sith in several places. At first the battle seemed to be an easy victory for the Sith, however, Jedi Master Satele Shan arrived with reinforcements and Alderaan was liberated from Imperial capture.

The scattered Republic forces were able to organise ambushes all over the planet, catching the Empire completely off-guard.

Many soldiers died during the battle. The majority of the Imperial forces were destroyed and many Republic soldiers were also killed.

Satele Shan arrived just in time to save Jace Malcom from execution. She then engaged Darth Malgus but lost her lightsaber during the fight. Malcom in turn saved Satele, tackling Malgus and detonating a grenade that wounded both men and allowed Satele to severely injure Malgus.

Malgus' jaw was severely damaged in the fight, forcing him to wear a respirator for the remainder of his life.

The Sith Order suffered many losses that day and Havoc Squad became renowned for their victories over the Sith warriors.

Shortly after Malgus' defeat, the Republic fleet arrived and Alderaan was officially taken back into the hands of the Republic.
