This is my second castle MOC. I've named the prince after my late grandfather because he lived with me for years, and spent so much of his pension on lego for my christmas and birthday presents!! This MOC is no longer up, as work has started on my 3rd castle, and pictures should be on here real soon.
About this creation
hi everyone!! these are the pictures of my second castle MOC. i decided against extending my first one as it would have taken too long, and i get impatient with lego sitting there while i wait for pay to come so i can buy off bricklink!!

As you can see, i've just used one large grey baseplate, and made a more compact stronghold.

please excuse the size and quality of the photo's as they were taken on an iphone, but i think they are good enough to get a general idea of the build!! hopefully soon, i shall be able to get my other half to email them to me in the biggest size (she is low on data so she sent over the smalest size to keep her bill low!!)

any comments would be much appreciated!!

Chris

lol i think that kicking someone out of the group for that is a bit harsh, could have said something, but nevermind. il rejoin, and let people know about my builds on the end of a convo thread or something!
Quoting Caleb of Enalica I think this is because the group admins don't want people making new topics without permission, so they probably got mad. You should consider rejoining, just make sure that you read the rules first! :) Hope to see you there, Chris!

up until yesterday i was a member of the lands of Mythron group, but i added a comment about my newest build, and stated that i wont add it to the group, as the flag colours wont fit any of the factions, so if people want to check it out, they should go via my page... and i was removed from the group by one of the admins... many thanks for the positive comments tho!
Quoting Caleb of Enalica Superb work, Chris! You really have a knack for castle! The towers are my favorite part. They really look great! I think you would fit in at the Lands of Mythron group. It's a castle group, and it's a whole lot of fun! You also would get more like and recognition from the other people in the group, since it's a group of over 200 people, all who love castle! Also you can rank up and do compete in lots of fun challenges! Anyhow this is really a good build! Another great thing about it is the windows. Those things look great! I wish I had your skill with building castle! P.S. Here is a link to the Mythron main group. http://www.mocpages.com/group.php/22392 And here is a link to my faction thread. I think you would like it there! Maybe build some of the castles for the capital city, Worsan? :) http://www.mocpages.com/group_conversation.php?id=22392&topicid=91237

thank you! i was quite pleased with the tudor style keep, i do hope to use more advanced techniques on my future tudor style builds, to make them that little bit more intricate
Quoting Alex Sonny I really like the house design on top of the stone walls and the wooden black and white details along the walls. Brings back memories of the good old Castle sets that all the nice wall elements and such :D

i havent actually got any LOTR minifigs lol!! i like the look of some of them, especially the Rohan soldiers, but they have flesh coloured hands and heads as apposed to yellow!! i have bought a few LOTR shields though, its those you can see on the black knights, which are from the Kingdoms range!
