Detective Simmons: Say pal, can you direct me to the head o' this joint?
Clerk: The Boss? He's sittin' on the bench.
Simmons: Excuse me sir, you the owner of this place?
Boss: Yeah. Care for a cigar?
Simmons: I don't smoke.
Simmons: You see mister, I seemed to have misplaced my watch when I was gettin' gas earlier. Mind if I take a look in the back?
Boss: I may be blind, but I ain't stupid. Beat it!
Simmons: Honest! I got a date with a dame in twenty minutes and I gotta have my watch!
Boss: Scram! If ya don't I'll call da cops!
Simmons: Oh, well it just so happens...
