About this creation
This is the MocAthalon 2013 entry for Team Theocracy!

Category:
17. In the Inn.
Build an inn set in a medieval fantasy world. Think "Prancing Pony." This can be just an interior, or you can build the whole thing.

Quoting David the Fire Ninja Jedi Excellent! The roof and foliage are great! What did you use for the vines around the columns before the doorway?
Thanks David! They are sprues of the big leaves (http://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp?itemType=P&catString=25). Sean and Steph Mayo (aka Siercon and Coral) were so kind to donate me 30 of them and a bunch of castle/viking figs some time ago =D.

The category emphasis was in the interior, that is really what we were after. That aside, this build is a beauty! The roof tiles are excellent! If it had the interior it would be an easy five, but it has to be a 4 from me too. ~Thoy

Another excellent MOC, Simon! One of your best yet, I think. The marshy swampland around the tavern is looks great, the roofing and other architecture is stunning. This is a beautiful build!

Quoting Nick Brick The only thing that would have made this better would be a good interior. 4 points
Quoting Ru Corder Dude, that's nice. 4 REALLY strong points, an interior would have pushed it over the top.
Thanks to both of you =D! That with the interior I keep in mind for the next one... expect an entry of me in category 21 soon ;).

Great MOC! I;m reading the Fellowship of the Ring right now and the first thing I thought was Prancing pony. If you wanted to make a stop-motion of Lord of the rings, this would be the inn.

Quoting Topsy Creatori (StoveTopCreator!) I see that the tavern itself is build a bit higher on a necessary stone foundation. Quite nice! :)
Last time I built a swamp creation (http://www.flickr.com/photos/buurli_burri/7955586584/in/photostream/) I had no fundament and then there was a discussion about it, so this time I built one =)

Quoting Takanuva 77 The overall look is stunning, and even more so when you look at all the detail. Does the building have an interior?
No, sadly not. I had to use a lot of slopes, tooth pieces, etc. with the flat side outside to finish this creation and I ran out of brown studs (there are 150+ in this creation) and brown 1x1 round bricks, so an interior would have been impossible. I thought about breaking this creation down and then make an interior with exactly the same size, but I thought that would be some kind of cheating, so I just let it how it was.
