Dark Helmet doing what he does best… playing with his dolls!
About this creation
Mel Brooks gave us the ultimate parody, his spoof of the Star Wars Movies, his own comic classic, the movie… Space Balls! And so, I give you Space Balls’ Dark Helmet as my entry for Gringat's First Repugnant Contest! ParodyMoc.
My favorite lines from the movie:
HELMET: “Before you die, there is something you should know about us, Lone Starr.”
LONE STARR: “What?”
HELMET: “I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former room-mate.”
LONE STARR: “What's that make us?”
HELMET: “Absolutely nothing. Which is what you are about to become.”
“Prepare To Die!”
“Etherian, your candy cane is no match for my light saber that channels the power of the Dark Side of the Schwartz.”
(Just added Noel for height comparison!)
“What’s the matter, Colonel Sandurz? Chicken” (Another favorite quote!)
4th Wall:
I took some liberty with Dark Helmet’s eyewear, as I only had one magnifying glass. There was not enough time to place a BrickLink order for a 2nd. But hey, Helmet’s now got a handy super duper em wave detection device!

Finally a real parody! Until now I have only seen opposite versions of HF (not bad ones, but I didn't find them as real parodies). I'm a bit dissappointed because, with your incredible imagination, you could make your own parody version... But I can't say I don't like this MOC. The giant head in the Mata Torso, the level of details without overwhelming customization and amounts of parts... I just love this a lot! Great job, and good luck, my sweet Topsy!
