Sauron is defeated. The age of men has begun. Like the Turning of the Leaves, the Elves time in Middle Earth has come to an end.
This is their final journey to the sea.
About this creation
Lady Galadriel, followed by a Mirkwood Ranger and Guardian.
Haldir, back from the depths of Helms Deep, walks alongside the Lady of Lothlorien.
Curious, and beautiful, the Owls of the forest watch with unblinking eyes.
Tauriel, grasping a star, scouts for the party, while Legolas keeps a keen eye on the surrounding trees.
Lord Elrond, adorned with a blue Cloak, rides atop the last Mearas in Middle Earth.
The forest, glittered with oranges and reds, mourns the passing of an age. However, where one story ends, another begins. Spring will bring about life, and with it, hope.
~ This is my first major "scenic" build, but I think it turned out rather well. My favorite part of the whole build is actually the bridge. It took me a few renditions to get the slope / spacing right, but I really like the combination of red (Cherry Wood), stone, and how it slopes downhill.
~Thanks to the guys at altbricks.com for the awesome fall-colored leaves!
Ah, I gotcha! I definitely need to improve my photo situation. I'm using a mediocre camera phone, and my Lego room has a single light right in the center, causing shadow issues.
Thanks for the tip though, I'll use that next time!
This is awesome! I've seen some great autumn foliage but this is great. The darker oranges and reds you used are perfect for oaks while the brighter ones most people use are better for maples. I like the rockwork and the little waterfall and the bridge is great. Great job!
