Franklin Engine Company 1 "The Red Rocket" FFD Engine 1 is a 2007 Pierce contender commercial pumper on a International 4400 chassis. It has a 1,250 GPM pump and a 750 gallon tank. It will be equipped soon with BLS gear, fire fighting equipment and some technical rescue gear. It also has two Code 3 sirens and twin airhorns, no Q siren, but it will be added later on. It seats 4 fire fighters.
This unit runs first out on all fires and MVAs. It responds second out for EMS calls.
NOTE- Chassis by Tom D. I did not purchase this from him, I built it myself, the chassis is all Tom's design.
About this creation
All of the FFD (Currently) in front of the rig.
Personal notes- I spent all of yesterday working on this truck! It's my brothers truck so this is not part of my department. It's not my best work but it will do for now until I get my department off the ground. This department will operate this engine, 1 quint, 1 medic, 1 reserve medic, 1 chief, 1 utility and 1 TRT trailer.

Nice unit! You should get that new ladder part that comes in a few new lego fire sets. Comes in handy when building aerials.
Thanks Jonah! I managed to get my hands on three so far, just got to make a truck for them! ;) |

Thanks man! I can't either! :P I've been working like crazy on a quint design for my dept and it's been a chore, I have yet to get to the aerial part but you know what they say "You can't rush perfection" ;) |

Nice good job! It looks a lot like Toms so I thought it was his for a minute there.
Thanks Thomas! Yeah haha, it was inspired by Tom, so I studied his design and went through a trial and error period until I got it! |
