Forgotten (Part 1 of 5)
Turaga Trokan begins his account of a bizarre affair that nobody seems to remember…
About this creation
25th of February:

Jatil came to visit me in my hut today. He had come for advice. The Le-Matoran Korduu had been pestering him about the disappearance of his assistant Dorru. Jatil came to ask my advice, and if I knew the whereabouts of Dorru. Fortunately, I did, but I told Jatil that the story was too complicated for either of the Matoran to understand. However, Jatil was persistent, and in the end I did tell him the story. It was evident that Jatil did not believe my story, but he did not question, and went about on his business.
Jatil’s disbelief did not surprise me. He was an intelligent and sharp guard, but imagination was a trait of the Po-Matoran, rather than the Ta-Matoran. However, I fear that I may pass soon, and if I do, the truth will die with me, so I shall document the story into my journal, therefore ensuring that the truth still lives. So, I shall begin;

I rose early one fair morning a few weeks back. I believed it to be a normal day. However, when I stepped out of my hut, the whole of Racta Major had changed. The entire Plaza had been sealed in, and the entire population of Matoran living in Racta Major had been placed in this one square. There were two Vahki standing at the exit, watching us like hawks. Everyone seemed to be going around business as if it was a normal day. I immediately found Jatil and asked him about what had happened.
“But Turaga, nothing had happened.” was his reply. I reminded him that we were sealed into the plaza, and that there were two Vahki standing watch over us.
“But it has always been like this.” Jatil protested. I went inside my hut and began to question my sanity. Some time later, a lot of commotion boiled up outside, and went to investigate. I didn’t believe what I saw.

Two Vahki had entered the square with a Ta-Matoran and threw him to the floor. I didn’t recognise him at first, but as he lifted his head, I knew exactly who it was. It was Benu, one of the six Toa Racta who protected Racta Magna. But this was a Matoran, whilst Benu was a Toa. None of the Matoran recognised him. The fact that he was surprised by this suggested that he was not under hypnosis like the rest of the Matoran.
I invited him into my hut, and talked to him. It was good to see that Benu was aware that he used to be a Toa, and also aware that this was a bizarre occurrence to have Vahki in Racta Major. He told me that he entered Racta Major on daily business, when he noticed the large fence covering the square. He was attacked by the two Vahki, and then reduced to his Matoran form by some unknown power.
We agreed that these Vahki would not be working of their own accord and the fact that they had sealed us in means that there was something that they didn’t want us to see. We set out a plan to escape the square, which we would execute as soon as possible.

But that is a story for tomorrow. The hour is late, and my bed is calling me.
