Creator's Comments: As if you couldn't already tell, I am really happy with how this came out. I love that torso, despite the problems it gave me working it out, and I think this guy has one of the better backs of all of my MOCs. This guy is certainly one of my favorite MOCs I've ever made.
I think in terms of the Samurai look, I probably could have done a few things differently, but I am overall really happy with how it came out. I know I took a real liberty with the main weapon, but I did still keep the Tachi (?) I think it's called, so sue me :P The braid was really a last minute Idea, but I liked it and I think it looks pretty darn good. The skirt was also one of my favorite things in this MOC, as just before the categories were announced I was working on a Fe-MOC that had a similar skirt, so this gave me a chance to use the design! :D
And yes, I know the arms are simple. Get over it. I thought it looked better :P
I really hope that Everox is happy with this, I personally think I did good.

According to the samurai history book I had lying around, the short sword is a ”wakizashi”. It's the one they disemboweled themselves with in dire circumstances : s. Pretty close to ”tachi”, though. |

After making my first BioMOC today, I have a newfound respect for popular bionicle builders. Mine was, to be honest, a fail. The whole samurai look is awesome, although it does need more black. I'm sad you didn't make it on time, I was looking forward to it. But thank you. And the Tachi, if that is the correct spelling, is the smaller sword. Traditionally, Samurai carried a katana and a Tachi. So, I wanted to do both of them, but didn't like the designs I came up with for the katana. So I stuck with the Tachi and made the spiky thingy XD thanks Terilis :) |
