About this creation
First a note to the Judges: I changed my name from Buurli Burri to my real name, Simon. I hope I didn't bring in to much confusion ;).
Bracket: Barad Dur
Please check out the page of my very worthy opponent: Disco 86
Category: "We could take them to Her..."
If you you've got arachnophobia, you're doomed. I'm actually not one to talk, but it's SPIDER TIME!! Slightly worse than a haunted house, build us Shelob's lair!!! Or just a segment of it, or just Shelob, or whatever, as long as it fits the category!
The first thing I did was sorting my black LEGO chest. After I began a half year ago with sorting my collection, I now finally sorted the last part of it =D! Then I began building with the spider, which was the most fun part of it. I actually wanted to do a part of her lair, but after one day building I recognized that I'd never have enough dbg slopes to finish it, so I had to go for something smaller (Imagine how much slopes you need to build even only one tube (or something similar) for such a huge spider).
To the build:
First, an overview of it. Shelob sitting on the top of the rocks and Sam fights her with Sting and Frodos lightbulb =P, as it's seen in the last sequence, before the orcs come and take Frodo in the tower.

Shelob! Creepy, isn't?

I hope you like it!

This was well done, but my vote goes to your opponent Because he had more detail in his build. |

While you've got some great rock-work presented here and an excellent spider, I think your opponent still managed to take the cake. Disco had some incredible PU that won him my vote. Good luck with your other judges! |

Great rockwork! The design is great! And, did I accidentally remove you from the Castle Project? If I did, I'm really sorry, and I hope to see you back. |

That's just a beautiful rendition of a spider! Excellent work. Reminds me a lot of my own SLOOC from Fighters Wall. Maybe they should get together someday and fight for supremacy :) |

Great Build! Good Luck. Oh, Frodo's "lightbuld" I believe is called a Phial. If I am wrong, correct me.
That's why it has a "=P" behind it ;). |

Nice work! Shelob looks great (and your photography worked well on her), and the rock work is very good, too. I was hoping the angled rocks would open up to reveal Gollum inside or something, though... :( |

Like the Shelob body very much. Thorax is very truncated, and the uptilt to the abdomen lends a bit of aggression due to simple body language. Nice predatorial display, even sitting still. Great work! Cheers~ |

How dare you knock my thing off the first spot on the homepage...Simon? Hehe, just kidding, this is a truly fantastic build the rockwork is awesome and Frodo was even better :D But really, why did you change your name?
Thanks mate! I just changed it to my real one, so that the people don't call me "Mr. Burri" LOL. I just wanted to have my real name instead of a nickname before the MA starts... |
