About this creation
(Nal Hutta, Jigunna, the Greased Bantha Cantina, four days after the purge of Imperial Intelligence and the issuing of Operation Blackout to the remaining agents)
(Former Republic Intelligence Agent Bill gazed around the shady cantina, listening to various bits of conversation going on around him, Nal Hutta was the perfect place to hide, but that also made it a perfect place to be found)
(The noise of the cantina died down as a shifty looking man walked into the cantina, Bill grinning as he took a sip of his drink)
(The man walked over to Bill's table and leaned down to the former agent)
Bill- Did you find anything for me Sam?
Sam- Sure, sure, I gots the stuff youse wanted.
(Bill looked over the documents Sam pushed over to him)
Bill- This is old news Sam, we had reports of a purge days ago.
Sam- Yeah, but this one is different! Says here that some agents might come here, I gots it from a reliable source, come on I show you.
(The two walked out of the cantina, Bill noticing two shady looking thugs nod at each other and start following them)
Bill- You sure about this Sam?
Sam- Sure! Have I ever let you down?
(Bill sighed as Sam led him into an alley and whipped around, pointing a gun at the agent)
Sam- Awright now! You know Intelligence Agents got a big bounty on their heads and I'se, erm, we're gonna collect!
Bill- You know I lose more informants this way Sam...
(Bill lunged at Sam, grabbing his blaster and slamming him against the alley wall)
(The two thugs charged at Bill, who knocked the first one down with the blaster)
(Bill dropped the blaster as the second thug swung a mace at him, grasping the weapon and throwing the thug back against the wall)
(A group of soldiers rushing into the alley as Bill brushed his hands)
Maxwell- Well Bill it's almost as if you don't need us any more.
Bill- That's the fifth one this week. It becomes a necessity when you insist on being so slow Max.
Maxwell- Oh please Bill! Did you get the information we needed?
Bill- No, however, It seems that there was a purge of Intelligence several agents, old friends of mine, are coming here to Hutta.
Maxwell- Interesting but what about Moff Kane? Do you have any more information on him?
Bill- I only have my previous hunch, and that's as good as it's getting form the time being.
Maxwell- Very well, leave a message for our agents, and we'll hope that this gambit our yours pays off Bill.
(Nal Hutta, swamps)
(Bill looked out of his binoculars at the battered Imperial Swamp trooper, obliviously guarding the small Imperial supply station)
Maxwell- We've kept up surveillance on this depot for hours Bill. What makes you think the Imperial Overseer of Hutt Space would come here?
Bill- From what I gathered from my less-that-successful agents, the Moff may not be as clean cut as the Empire assumes him to be.
Maxwell- In other words?
Bill- He's about as corrupt as they get, involved in all sorts of very profitable illicit operations.
Bill- Shhh! Everyone down!
(The soldiers ran to cover as an Ikotchi slaver walked toward the Swamp Trooper)
Ikotchi- I Have the Moff's "supplies," is everything arranged for the transfer?
Swamp Trooper- Yes sir. The Moff will be here momentarily.
(Nal Hutta, Jigunna)
Ben- Geez and I though the Coruscant undercity was bad!
Iso- Yeah, the galaxy's best hiding places aren't exactly it's most glamorous locations, and if there's one place like that it's Hutta.
Ben- What are we looking for anyway?
Iso- An old friend, I think you're familiar with Bill. He left Intelligence soon after the Clone Wars ended, dropped right off the face of the galaxy, of course that doesn't mean he can't be found.
Messenger- Pssst! Hey you two! Come over here!
Iso- Whatever you're selling, we don't want it.
Messenger- Not selling! Informing! I gots a message for you two from a friend of yours says to meet him in the swamp outside the city.
Ben- How do we know you're telling the truth?
Messenger- You don't, but if you want to find your friend, go to the swamps, he'll be there.
Iso- Well it's our only lead so far, might as well take it, come on!
(Nal Hutta, swamps)
Maxwell- Blast it! The Moff's a war profiteer look!
(Bill and the soldiers watched as two Gamorreans escort two wookiee slaves to Moff Kane)
Ikotchi- I trust these specimens will please his Moff-ness, and fetch him a profitable fortune on the Black Market.
Kane- Indeed! I am most pleased Ikotchi, as per our agreement the weapons will be delivered to your base as planned. Now if you'll excuse me I have more "business" to attend to.
Bill- Alright this is our chance to catch him. Troops, Attack!
(The soldiers spring out of cover, quickly blasting the Gamorrean slavers as the wookiees rush to cover)
Kane- What have your done! You've led these....rebels right to me!
Ikotchi- What?! I had noting to do with this! You cannot blame me-
Kane- Silence! I will not tolerate this betrayal!
(Kane blasted the Ikotchi as his Stormtroopers traded fire with the rebels)
Kane- Soldier! Get me a transport quick, and annihilate this rebel scum!
Swamp Trooper- Right away sir!
(Ben and Iso walked into the swamp, the blaster fire lighting up the stagnant bog)
Ben- What the- There a full scale battle going on out here!
Iso- There! I see Bill behind the tree line! Looks like he's been busy...
Swamp Trooper- Ambush! More rebels over here!
(Ben and Iso dashed for cover as the Swamp Trooper fired on them)
Iso- Ben, I think I see some fuel barrels over there, shoot them and this whole place goes up in flames, I'll cover you!
Ben- Alright! Blaster safety class don'f fail me now!
Rebel Soldier- Sir! I think I see more blaster fire through the tree line!
Bill- Ah, our reinforcement have arrived...
Maxwell- Enough chatter you two! Keep fighting men!
(One of Ben's blasts hid the fuel barrels, exploding in a fiery conflagration)
Maxwell- By the force- Everyone get to cover!
(Moff Kane shakily got up backing up against the communication terminal)
Kane- What...how is this possible! I am a Moff of the Empire! You cannot do this to me!
Maxwell- You may be a Moff but you're no better that a petty criminal, you're war-profiteering, and you will face trial!
(The Moff glanced over at the two agents and grinned sinisterly)
Kane- A trial? Ha! I own every tribunal in this sector and besides, you haven't caught me yet. Attack them!
Ben- What?
Maxwell- Imperial Agents! Blast them! We need the Moff alive!
(In the confusion as the Rebel soldiers fired at the agents an Imperial dropship flew in, the Moff grabbing a cable and being flown away)
Bill- Stop firing! These are not Imperial agents! These are old friends of mine, and disavowed if I remember correctly.
Maxwell- Blast it all! The Moff escaped and now our cover is blown! Prep the transport we better return to base.
Bill- Well, Iso and Ben have you finally decided to take up my offer and go rogue?
Iso- More forced to than voluntarily, but, in a word, yes.
Maxwell- Wait, two former Imperial Intelligence agents, and willing to join our cause? This mission may not be a total failure after all. I'm sure you two will want to meet the boss and after your...help I suppose I'll let you.
Iso- Best offer I've heard all day, I suppose we accept.
Bill- Glad to hear it! We'll keep you safe from the Empire, and maybe even offer an opportunity to fight back...

Nice one! The explosion was great and the swamp was nice, though it could have used a bit more foliage. I'm digging the story so far; a lot of espionage, firefights, and just plain thuggery. Keep it up! |
