Apollo-Soyuz Mission
A model of the spacecraft involved in the Apollo-Soyuz Mission.
About this creation
This is my model of the Apollo-Soyuz mission (done in LDD). It includes the Apollo service module, the Apollo command module, the docking module, and the Soyuz spacecraft. I have proposed it as a Cuusoo idea. If you like it, please consider supporting it.

Certainly good looking digital model. But in current form, I'd be worried about its rigidity. Have you built some real prototypes or is it just LDD so far?

epic i just love the Apollo era of space flight, man pushed the limit, technology wise, we were not ready to go to the moon, but we did it anyway!

Nice work. You've found all the right lego pieces to get the right shapes. Excellent!

Good choice of scale. Excellent result. Looks almost real from a small screen-shot! I actually possess a commemorative aluminium coin made from the metal of these two spacecraft (at least from the bits that fell off!).

This is amazing. I love everything Spacey and the Soyuz mission is my fav. Did you know NASA spent three millions developing a pen that could write in zero gravity... the Soviets just used a pencil :D Also, do you think you could render this in Pov-ray? It would look amazing!

Quoting clayton Marchetti I can't believe I haven't liked your signature creation ! This is stunning I've always been excited about our space program . I love how you built the Soyuz capsule no easy task! The apollo is fantastic I really like how you made the cone shape . Most impressive !
Thanks, Clayton. I still like this MOC a lot. I think it looks really good against the earth-from-space background. I probably ought to get around to generating a few renders of it at some point.

Quoting Manolo Gonzalez Hi mate! Nice model. Are these images renders? They seem to have great shades. Are you using LDD or another software to take that pictures? Thanks.
Thanks. These images are just captures from LDD using the "high quality" mode, which actually works pretty well for most digital MOCs if you aren't concerned about getting the shadows. When I have the compute cycles available, I may actually run POV-Ray on them.

That's cool, a very deatailed representation of both spacecrafts. Great job! :-))

After so many totally irrealistic sci-fi spacecraft denying basic laws of physics, finally the real one! Conic parts of Apollo are not very easy to model from Lego. Congratulations!

This reminds me of a game called Kerbal Space Program.
