A simple artillery piece mounted on a horse. Seeing that most of my creations were "Futuristic and high-tech"--and also very costly-- at the time, it became necessary for me to construct cheaper and less effective designs that could be produced in large quantities. And so, this creation came about.
About this creation
This MOC was featured on the Lego Universe Creation Lab at the time it was built, however, seeing that Lego Universe has come to an end, I have decided to re-upload these creations here on MOCpages.

The Retrograde Design Team in BrickFed Tech created the plans for this horse-drawn artillery unit in June 2011. Unlike all other creations of the Brick Federation, designs with the name "Retrograde" are focused more on the concept of "Strength in numbers" and ''Quantity over quality." That being said, Retrograde designs are rather subpar when compared to recently developed weapons of war. This particular design is no exception.
A simple design of an artillery piece attached to a gun carriage, mounted on a horse, guarded by 6 specialy equiped soldiers. Each soldier is equiped with a heavily armored helmet, a 5.5mm rapid-fire gun, and a 15mm handheld shield; these shields may seem somewhat obsolete, but can be effectively used for lowground defense even in open areas. The cannon is a 50mm gun firing High-explosive shells at a low arc angle.
After the production of ten-thousand units, the design was placed on hold untill more units were needed. This design has yet to see combat, but tactics have been devised mostly for use in urban areas or forests. After this horse-drawn artillery was released in 2011, it has been highly frowned upon as being an impractical excuse for a lightweight artillery; nevertheless, it has yet to be properly used in true combat.
