Two little space police III vehicles built to complete this excellent theme.
About this creation
After almost 4 weeks without any web connection (thanks the public French Telecoms!!) I promised myself not to edit anything before being done with some 70 creations. You guys and girls were so productive in 6 weeks!
I'm still fighting to end the landing zone of the SP "Rhino" but... Still fighting.
So here are two vehicles built in early december during the excellent Classic Space Pocket Money Contest.
The Space Police Clown is a little air-patroller. A scooter designed for speed, very manoeuvrable but initially with no weaponry. Despite the anger and the disappointment of SP agents.
Space pirates nicknamed it the "clown" because of what they first saw in their back-mirror: a big nose, a guy in uniform shouting but nothing frightening at all!
After the loss of several agents, a machine gun was installed. A brilliant addition made by earth engineers: a .50 mass driver able to shoot at 180°... Defense or pursuit.
Somehow, the vision of pirates slightly changed in their mirror... The clown was not funny anymore.
The SP "Hedgehog" is a cell-carrier.
Police or Pirates like to give nicknames to their vehicles: this one comes from his nose again, for it is "short-legs" and it has -like this cute animal- thorny arguments on the back.
A fully rotating heavy rate 20mm Mass-driver. Plus the 2 IR rockets firing forward.
I only regret the color of the shields: I would have liked to find TDblue ones. Too bad!
I like how it went with the Hedgehog, specially the back-section and the cell-holder. I kept the trick invented by Lego designers: every cell can connect to the Moc or real sets.
The SNOT technics are so usefull!
A last one to appreciate the whole scene.
The main pic shows a different "jail-cell": Fully jacketed, it is wether used for VIP or even for precious cargo.
Honestly, both of them are not a big deal but they join one of my favorite themes.
That's all, folks! Next one will be the landing zone or ... the Space Pirate "wolf".
I like the tractor unit of the Hedgehog, especially its overhanging front and the two different windscreens tht you've used to make that glass cubicle. The way that the steeper windscreen is at the front gives an interesting shape.
