Maybe some of you know the story "the never ending story" from Michael Ende. A beautiful story with nice characters like Bastian, Artreju, Artax, Fuchur and much more..

A great piece of Lego sci-fi sculpture. I think that the photo in the dark looks good, as though it's a spacecraft blasting off and fracturing the mountain apart as it goes up into the sky. The other photos let you see more and suddenly the thing in the mountain could be a strange antenna. I like how you haven't written anything and leave lots of questions in the mond of the viewer.
Thank you very much David! Nice ideas you have! But i thought i wrote everything...? That'S the Ivory tower from "the neverending story"... If you don't know it - maybe you watch the movie. It's really nice ;-) |

I can't write my admiration down in plain words! I had grown up with the book and the german films of the neverending-story, I am speechless you built something out of it!
The design is very creative and nice!
Thank you Stephan ! And yes - there are also other themes like star wars and halo out there - we only have to pig them... ,-) |

My friend, the landscape is beautiful so you better remove the get mad at me part or I will indeed get mad ;)
Thanks for your kind words ;-) - but i wrote the "mad at me" because there are so many good builders out there...!! And there's still more to learn from them... I really enjoy MOCpages in fact i got ideas and many buildingskills from others by watching there great MOCs. |

Thank you! We are all "promotion children" - so we do what all do (like star wars...). There are so many themes out there which could be built with Lego - go and search for it ;-) |

One of my favorite movies that became one of my favorite books, after I discovered that the movie came from a book. You depicted the Ivory Tower very well in LEGO. The rock work is fantastic. I like how you kept the inner pieces white. That works to a great effect when the light is turned on. Only thing missing is a cheery luck dragon;) Great work, Mihe.
Thanks Tim! It's also a favorite book of mine. I read it again at the moment and that's how i came to do this MOC. a dragon would be cool, but at this size i would have no idea how to do it :-)! The inner "wight-wall" i did first - and the rocks i put on after.

That's fantastic! Ingenious parts usage and technique on the tri-symmetrical tower. Did a pretty good job illustrating the action of the Nothing encroaching, what with the water falling into the void, roiling. One thing that might make that a little more obvious would be for you to add one rock, maybe with one plant on it, spinning away into the blackness. But I'm reaching far to find anything that could be improved; as is, this build is wonderful.
Thank you so much for your honesty ! really - your idea was also in my head, but i wanted to get close to the movie. At the end only the Ivory Tower is standing (or is it flying in nothing - i don't know...?) |
