MCLegoboy's 3 Year MOCiversary
Jubilous festivities abound as we celebrate MCLegoboyís third year on MOCpages!
About this creation
Well, Iíve been on MOCpages for three yearsÖ

HA-CHA-CHA-CHA-CHAAA!

So itís been three yearsÖ Well, thatís not where this story starts. It started all the way back in 1994Ö Okay, maybe thatís a little too far back, and a little too much information, so I guess weíll skip ahead a few years. It all started in 2009 Ö or whenever Lego Universe was first starting.

So whenever Lego Universe was first starting, it was just a place where people shared characters and models for this game nobody had heard of, and we all know how that went. Around the same time, I discovered a dude on YouTube named Shadowgear 6335 (I know, right?!), and he introduced me (not formally) to this grand website run by this artist guy in New York. It was MOCpages. (Obviously) and this is where our story really starts.

I had seen MOCpages before, but never really was a fan of the format, but it beat Lego.comís My Lego Network by a mile, and was a lot easier to understand after I joined back in Late Winter/Early Spring 2010. Well, on the first day, I posted creations, but eventually deleted them, and re-uploaded them later in time, and since the files have been long lost as to when I posted them, we will be observing my MOCiversary on the 31st of January, which as you all know was during our little blackout session on e-mails and uploading. (UGH! Right when I decide to actually celebrate a MOCiversary, the website decides to get sick. Figures.)

This is for all of you trying to just skim through this so pay attention!

So with all this text out of the way, letís get down to business. This is going to be a montage of my favorite creations over these three years, and there will be links to the creations underneath the picture, and if you are really care, which I hope you do, there is a little few sentence commentary on each as to why itís a favorite or why it has sentimental feeling.

This may take awhile, so go to the bathroom, get a snack, inform your families you will be hogging the computer for half the day (It shouldnít take you that long, Iím just being silly, but if it does, well, I warned you.) and let the celebration commence!

LINK
This was a gift to my dad for his 50th birthday and he was known for mowing the fields out at the school he worked at before it was shut down. Itís still together as of this day! My dadís awesome.

LINK
Yep, itís a bunch of minifigures on a baseplate. I hope to update this someday for something more worthy.

LINK
This is the guy that started it all. Iím known for my Domo Robots, and whatís amazing is that this guy has no comments or likes. Haha.

LINK
This is my most popular post and itís not even really a MOC. There are semi-MOCs and then the image above. I love that little Death Star, but it is so small compared to everything else, I forgot about it. To my amazement, itís still alive!

LINK
This is one of those MOCs from way back in the day, and I recently took it apart to put together some old Star Wars sets from 2003 that I dismantled because I was stupid back in 2003. This is a MOC from around 2009, so even before MOCpages.

LINK
Another thing I am quite famous (and infamous) for. This was the beginning of a long and perilous journey, and itís not even over yet! MWAH-HA-HA-HA-HAAA!

LINK
My first Steampunk MOC, and third variation of Domo. Suchimapanku is a favorite of many, even when not when upgraded. This design still has a special place in my heart.

LINK
This is what really kick started my MOCing spree. And it is the most boring thing for most people. Epic Bounty Hunters created into a theme I called Lego Bounty Hunter Association. This originally was started for Lego Universe, and the first name was actually Lego Universe Bounty Hunter Association. The theme consisted of Police Officers, Villains, and Bounty Hunters. Yeah, it never really caught fire, but I am going to upload three remaining creations that have never been posted, and will be more exciting than the LBHA stuff from before.

LINK
Itís SANTA DOMO! Whatís not to like?

LINK
An LBHA Model that is still together and very loved.

LINK
My first true vignette build. This is a lovely full body shot of Cad Bane from that post.

LINK
One and a half years later, around Christmas time of 2011, I gave my dad an additional accessory for his 50th birthday gift. This thing is awesome.

LINK
Another LBHA build. Iíve thought about taking it apart, but itís still just too cool looking.

LINK
Yet another LBHA build. This was the first thing I ever had make it to the homepage. Itís greebly, asymmentrical, and all around swooshable.

LINK
This was the first contest I ever won. It was for the eXtreme TFOLsí Bully Contest in which we had to show a Lego Fan being bullied or build a Bully machine to fight them back. I did both, and in the process featured Insectoids Domo, another favored Domo. I was still kind of the new guy around MOCpages, but I made friends with a bunch of people through eXtreme TFOLs.

LINK
While I never was big into BIONICLE sets, (My mother wouldnít let me have any because she thought they supported violence with all their swords, hooks, claws, and axes. She said that but somehow Lightsabers and Blasters in Star Wars were okay. Yeah.) I really enjoyed the story and got really into it around 2007. I decided to merge my infamous clones and the characters of the first Toa team of the BIONICLE Story, and achieved success.

LINK
The Fetts are beasts.

LINK
The beginning of a new breed of Custom Clones. I just really liked the Sand Green.

LINK
One of the older models dating back to Lego Universe time. This was a creation I recently took apart because in all honesty, it was time. It was an experiment with angling pieces, and using wheels as fans. It will never be forgotten.

LINK
Yet another LBHA creation, but this thing is beastly. Like, full on. The name says it all. While it was a rock themed creation, the name is actually Multi-Terrain Assault Tank. It assaults you! Donít mess with it!

LINK
This was an experimental model which ended up expanding into Starfighters that were built like actual Lego Sets, and were loosely based structure. Iíve been thinking about making a second version once I get a proper R4-P17.

LINK
Itís a stupid conglomerate of Dinosaur pieces. But itís fun. :P

LINK
If you did not know from my homepage, I am a Christian. This is my only biblical MOC though, but it has so much depth to it. I really went all out on making a bloodied Steven who was stoned by the people of Jerusalem.

LINK
Well, he is Domo, but upgraded. I keep him together at all times when not using his skeleton for one of the versions.

LINK
If Aayla had a Starfighter, it would look like this. This is what really got peopleís attention about my creations and it gave me about 20 likes in just 24 hours. Wow! Now if only it could be as popular as Rainbow Dashís. I donít know why itís so popular.

LINK
Dude, this guy is just so intense.

LINK
Originally for a class assignment, this has become a creation identified with me. I doubt Iíll ever take this thing apart. And how is this not more popular that Rainbow Dashís Starfighter?

LINK
This was built for LWC guyís Brick Built Bike Contest back in 2011, and in my opinion, I should have won. I hate using illegal connections, and the likes showed to be one of the best out of all the other entrants. Oh well. I really liked Mars Mission, but only got two sets. But this bike is cool, and I still havenít taken it apart.

LINK
Revamped Santa Domo! Heís so cool. This is when I also started to really incorporate the friends I have made in creations. Their lucky I decided to be nice to them instead of just shoot them with the coal launcher, the laser beams, and the present shooters.

LINK
Yeah I know, they suck, but some a pretty well done.

LINK
If I hadnít taken this apart to show up the pieces used for a contest, this piece of junk would probably still be around today, no joke. Yeah, itís a Rainbow Warrior, but there was something special about it. :3

LINK
I like Pi.

LINK
Dude, when I find the parts I need to keep this thing fully together without taking stuff from my Star Wars Collection, I will be so happy. This thing is BOSS! But alas, itís still less popular that Rainbow Dashís Starfighter.

LINK
This is the first MOC I ever photographed with my new camera. I still have the lightsaber. Someday, I will have the parts to make a double-sided red one and I can make a Sith Domo.

LINK
My first artistic piece outside of Brickerís Imagination. Mister Rogers is awesome. This is also quite the build that should supersede Rainbow Dashís Starfighter.

LINK
If youíve never heard of The Contest Group, you should check it out. We hold contests rather frequently, and the more people we have enter in contests, the more fun things get. I was the winner of the Group Picture Contest, and am now one of the Senior Operators of the group.

LINK
Oh man, this wass quite the build. Itís one of my larger builds, and one of the most inappropriate things I have ever done. Them AFOLs be crazy. Despite being 18, I still hang out with the young people of eXtreme TFOLs because partially, Grown Ups with Plastic is pretty inactive, but most importantly, the eXtreme TFOLs are a bunch of kool kats!

LINK
YeahÖ

LINK
I love my little Hippo. You guys are lucky I never showed you anymore pictures. Itís kind of creepy when you look at it head on.

LINK
This is just a sweet vignette I made with LURPs! It turns out you actually can use them!

LINK
Oh wait, thatís not supposed to be there! Donít click it you guys!

Well, this concludes our montage. I told you it would be long. Itís been quite the journey, and if you were to compare my first post to my last, youíd think it wasnít the same guy.

So yeah, thatís my story of these three years. I could have talked a lot longer, so youíre lucky. I like to take tangents all the time.

In case youíre wondering what my beef is with Rainbow Dashís Starfighter, well, itís just a weird creation. It really isnít my best creation, but that doesnít mind me. Neither does being a Brony. If you follow along with what I do here on MOCpages, I tend to not talk about it because I know people just blow up out of nowhere about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I donít want people to be turned away from looking at my other stuff here just for one creation, but because people are so judgmental about that particular topic, I wouldnít mind something else in its place in my Top 3 Creations.

Oh, and within these three years, Iíve branched out. I can be found on YouTube and now officially, on Flickr! Subscribe, Add me as a Contact, or donít do anything at all, cause you know, being nice isnít cool. :P

SNEAK PEAK!

Anyway, thanks for checking out this tedious post, and if I remember, Iíll do something at five years. Because Iím a goof and didnít think to do anything for the first year, but remembered the second, I thought Iíd wait until the third year because whoís to start something for two years on MOCpages? Thatís just bad timing. But three works because itís a magic number. (Kudos to those who get the reference. :D )

Thanks for checking this out, and for a final image:

Quoting LWC guy About the BBB contest in 2011 - you built a great MOC, but It just wasn't what we were looking for. The idea was to build a minifigure scale (or close to) bike using unconventional connections and nifty part usages, so your entry, though very well built and smooth, didn't quit hit the mark. Sorry for any misunderstanding there may have been. Here's to many more great years on the 'pages!
No, I knew that back then when we talked about it. But doesn't everyone think their build is the best when the support for it feels the same? I was fine with not winning, but at least it did fit the Technic Figure guy. :P
Quoting LWC guy (...and this reminds me, I missed my Mociversary back in late January :( And wasn't it the eXtreme TFOLs' two year anniversary last month?)
OH NO! Well, I guess there's always next year. :P

Happy Mociverseary man! You've whipped out some mean builds in these three years, and it's been great chatting to you in the eXtreme TFOLs :) About the BBB contest in 2011 - you built a great MOC, but It just wasn't what we were looking for. Happy MOCversary! I had the same bad luck as you. My MOCversary was on January 28 which was the first day of the MOCpages blackout. I plan on posting something for it soon. The blackout really did have bad timing.

Whew, just got through reading that but it was definitely worth my day. Not even gonna ask about the first picture though... Ah so youíre on Flickr now, good luck over there and may you memorize the people there like you've done here. ;) Anyway. It was great looking at your first build you posted on here and then looking at the newest build you've made, it's quite amazing how much you've improved over these couple of years. May there be many more years to come. Keep on brickin' buddy!
