The Bulldog
I have finally posted my first moc. This is a test run, so I thought I'd start out small. Ubiquidyne Industries developed the Bulldog as a multi-use platform to suffice any needs for the descriminate buyer. Whether it be exploration, research, military, or perhaps you have a whole lot of credits burning a hole in your pantaloons, UI can outfit this dog with whatever you need. Please ask our sales rep about the undercoat protection.
About this creation

Total Vroom-ability.

Plush interior. Rich Corellian leather.

The other side. Soft deck plating. Niiiiiiiiiiice!

Quick change thermo-nuclear power plant. It may be hot.

Oh, now that's just sweet. Who's the cute little car? Yes, you're the cute little car.

Please feel free to rate, comment, critique, insult, laugh at, use ideas from, whatever.

Thank you for viewing and always play well.

Matt

Quoting Jeremy McCreary Great design! Clearly ready for whatever the road (or not) might bring. Where's the nearest Ubiquidyne dealer? The bad news: Makes me wanna revise the bodywork on my trackrat.
Thank you Jeremy! That trackrat reminded me of one of those R/C cars back in the early eighties that could flip over, as they always do, and continue to go. With a body, it may be a tad frustrating chasing the cat. I always loved the smooth body paneling with slightly hidden greebling like Sylvain's UBURO. http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/355877 You might be able to incorporate similar styling for more of an aesthetic impact added to your masterful engineering. But mostly, just chase the cat. ;)

Quoting El Barto ! Cool rig here, Dude! I like the modular design. Bus isn't the leather Corinthian?
Thanks Bart! It's Corinthian on a Chrysler, in space it's Corellian. As in Millennium Falcon. Get it? XD I crack myself up.

Quoting Evan 'Beardless Dwarf' Botkin Cool car! The sleek look reminds me of the Mako from ME. Except the Mako has more of a angled sleek look while the Bulldog has a more round sleek look. Still Cool car!
I wanted SO badly to make a Mako for the Ecosse but the long nose prevented it from getting through the bay doors. I think one of my first searches on this site was for a Mako. There have been some truly awesome ones that I would love to replicate. This little guy was fun nonetheless. I still used the big knobby tires and, just like the Mako, IT GOES EVERYWHERE!!! Thanks Evan.

Quoting David Roberts A solid and sturdy looking off-road vehicle. I like how you've kept the white on top and then gone for more practical colours underneath. The hot-swapable nuclear engine is a great sci-fi idea: it seems straight out of the Eagle comic! I like the Bulldog logo too: is it a custom made sticker?
Thank you David, I was going for solid and sturdy. I did that primarily to be able to vroom with it. =] The sticker came from set 7649 the MT-201 Ultra-Drill Walker in the Mars Mission series in 2008. A pretty cool set, I might add. I've been toying with that particular style of sleek, clean top with a work horse, semi-greebled undercarriage. I really enjoy looking for greebles rather than just having them slam me in the face. I would think that the future would provide some sort of replaceable, fusion power plant. Just seems right, although we have yet to receive our personal jet packs promised in the 50's. Those lying bas.... =]

Quoting Dave Benson Looks really good! You could have even more fun with your creations if you motorized them ;) Well done on this one.
Absolutely no doubt on an RC version being more fun. It may be less embarrassing as well when I see my wife watching me vroom with this one. Caught again. I was actually trying to get this car to magnetically hang from the gantry in The Ecosse, so I never considered any extra weight. Even with two magnets, it BARELY stays up. I think I'll continue with similarly shaped and styled versions of this. It's kinda cute. Thank you very much for the idea Dave. Hopefully I can emulate your RC creations, great designs with practical fun. Plus, I can chase my dog with it. =]

Quoting Jasro 8 Are those magnets on top? Can't wait to see what you have in store for those. Hang it underneath a helicopter, or a dropship? Very cool build.
Good eye, sir. Indeed it actually hangs from the gantry in The Ecosse, my upgraded version of the LL-928 Galaxy Explorer. The images Of the ship show The Goat in the same spot, but it actually hangs well and out of the way AND fits through the bay doors, if barely. I had to choose on fitting perfectly or having a rear wing. Rear wing won.

Quoting David Alexander Smith I'm so pleased to find you have posted some MOCs! I always appreciate your thoughtful comments on my work, and was really intrigued to see what your own creative impulses produce. This for me feels like a RC car from my childhood. It's neat, and deceptively well built. The interior for instance has a lot going on for such a small build. Looking forward to seeing lots more appear here in the coming months.
Thank you David, I hold your input with very high regard and honor. This little guy had to be small and adept (maximum vroomability) in order to fit through some cargo bay doors (coming soon!) I think I'm getting the hang of Mocpages. It's nice when you find a home.
