OK, so this is my Self-MOC. I got the text in, so, please, comment!
About this creation
Backstory:
Ciaros lived a happy life in a village in his childhood. But he was always... different. He was more sensible, more mature, than most of the other children. Then, his village was attacked. He was the only surviving member of his village. He lived out in the wilderness for a while, until he was attacked by a demonic entity, probably a leftover from the troop that attacked his homeland. In a rage, he somehow levitated his foe into the air, and sent it flying into a tree. Having over-exerted himself, he passed out.
When he woke up, he found himself in a palace. A golden robot was bent over him, smiling. "Hello," he said in a deep tone, "I am King Goldfrost. Who might you be?" Since then, he had served under Goldfrost as a warrior and strategist, and had mastered his newfound telepathy. Now that dark forces have invaded the kingdom, he has been appointed second in command, and is currently fighting on the front lines.
Me: Whelp, now to the pics.

Ciaros: It's my big day! I'm finally being posted! Well, to start, my creator and act-alike took a frontal shot...

... and a side view...
src="http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/96049/1360191342m_SPLASH.jpg" border="0" width="500" height="375" alt="">
... and a back view.

Ciaros: OK, this next part is devoted to my custom designs. First the legs...

... and the body. One comment about me looking like a Surge revamp and you will be rent in two with my sword. Where is it you might ask? Coming up...

... and a back view.

Ciaros: En garde! S'il vous plait! Eiffel Tower! French gibberish!

Me: Epic landing pose.

Me: Sparring with Goldfrost.
Goldfrost: I'm beginning to regret giving you that sword, especially after that dent in the thigh armor.

Ciaros: Boy, these preview monsters are tough to fight NOT!

Me: Talking to an upgraded Wolfen.

Me: a quick shot of Wolfen.
Ciaros: OUTTA MY POST WOLFHEAD!!
Wolfen: Oh dear..

Ciaros: Well, after three concussions, a broken leg, and a near fatal incident with a frying pan, I think I'm rid of him. By all!

You asked for CC, so here we go. First of all, don't be afraid to work on the crotch area. It's just a grid of technic right now and could do with armouring. The upper arms look like they need replacing completely. Not only does the armour stick out way too far, they look skeletal, flimsy and fragile. They also don't attach to the shoulder joint in a way that allows humanoid movement. You'll need to find a way to put a socket at a horizontal angle on his shoulder to get the best range of motion. Don't be afraid to make his upper arm really bulky. As a personal touch, I suggest trying to personalise that head a bit too - like I did with Gringat's ears. Thanks for the comment on Gringat, btw, and for remembering my MOCciversary. ^^ |

Hmm... Let's see. The legs aren't bad and they have a very nice design, however I think you can improve them. I find the thighs a bit bigger than the lower legs, you should try to change those grey parts for thiner ones. There isn't a working image of the back, but the torso seems to be nice. The arms are the parts which need more work, they are too long and the shoulders have big gaps. But I must say that the idea of using the HF as forearms is wonderful, I'm impressed! So, to sum up, Ciaros has a very potential to be a great self-MOC, but he needs a bit more of work. No bad, but not epic either. Sorry if you don't like it, but you asked for it, so don't complain about my words, my dear! =3 |

Interesting. Maybe you should make his hips and the top of his legs a bit wider, because it's a bit thin.
Yeah, but then again, I don't want him to look fat either ;). Thanks! |

Hey Garret! Thanks for letting me know, I was getting to that point too. It is a serious topic, so yes, I locked it so that i Brick can be what it's supposed to be: a fun group for all. Thank you for voicing your views! I totally agree with you! i Brick is not the place to debate worldviews :) |

Sorry it took me so long. But this looks pretty nice. I do think the proportions are a bit out of whack; the arms are a tad long, etc. The armoring is also a bit strange in parts, but I think you did pretty well. The weapon is nice too. Well done :)
Thanks Gale! |

Sweet! Great job! I love the sword and lower arms! I'm not a big fan of the upper arm armor though, also I thing the arms might be a little long. Great job! :)
Thanks! |

Silver Bohrok eyes would work. I acctually disagree with Wertman. Or, more accuratly, I think that the shoulder armour sitting out slightly doesn't detract from his awesomness, but pulling it in would look good.
Ok, good. |

A very awesome Surge reva... I mean, Self MOC!I quite like the structure of the legs and the waist. I feel that the shoulder armour should be closer together, however, for at the moment it doesn't look like they're actually attached to him.
Thanks Wert! I kind agree about the shoulder armor, been working on that recently. |

For the upper arms, I'd recommend a piece of Inika or Metru thigh armour, or a few Bohrok Eyes in blue or trans blue. (Yes, they came in blue)
How do silver Borhok eyes sound? |

Okay. I'll start with: Well done Garret, this is very impressive. The torso is fantastic, the forearms and legs are also very good. The sword is AWESOME. I wish I'd though of a design like that. The backstory is both good and well wrritten, traits that are rare on the 'pages. There are only two areas that could do with some improving: The waist (it's a little thin) and the upper arms (could probably use some more armour). other than those two, this is a very impressive self-moc. As I've alreay said, I like the forearms a lot, mainly because you managed to get them right in one go. (It took me 9!) They look good and (I think) are sturdy. A very nice SM. (Man that was a long comment)
Thanks Reaper! About the arms.. They actually underwent a revision. Well, not a revision, more like a greeble-vision XD. The waist is thin for a reason, I'm not excactly heavyset in real, so, I made him that way too. The arms could use more armour, but I can't think of anything that won't make him too bulky, as he's supposed to be lean, but muscular all the same. |
