Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes on the half shell... Turtle Power!"
About this creation
A new theme for 2013: Superheroes! I present my third superhero MOC: The totaly radical, pizza eating, skateboard loving: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles midi-figures! Designed to be in midiscale with my other "t" joint skeletion figs. (More of those on the way by the way :)!) Inspiration for these was the original turtles from my youth not the redux of today. Also inspiration came from my current obsession with making minifig heads fit on more proportionate custom midifig bodies. I hope you will have as much fun viewing this as I had building them! Enjoy rate and comment!

Also watch the video review and my horrible singing on youtube click here for more insight into this creation!

Cowabunga, dude! Love TMNT in any format, and like Mikey (Michelangelo) I like ANY kind of pizza. C'mere, Shredder, my pizza needs more cheese! ;)

Oh yes the LEGOLAND Toronto incident - no adults allowed without child escort. I stole my godson to go, actually its not terribly impressive. AS for Lego and Life - I find Lego as my stress relief. So don't give it up. As for Life, tough times make you a more rounded individual, just hang in and stay positive. I know its hard - I am going thru changes myself as we speak. But I have found with more time there is more creativity.
Quoting Jesse Long Okay, fair enough arguments, Chris Roach and Chris Phipson. I have just been under a LOT of stress lately, and I have been questioning my love for LEGO (and thinking heavily about abandoning it for good) due to the reprehensible incident that someone in LEGOLAND Canada in Windsor, Ontario went through. If you all heard about it, then it would probably make all of you mad, too. Anyway, I was just angry because I thought that you were saying that the new one was terrible, that's all, Chris Phipson. By the way, the other stuff about LEGO making a TMNT game would be nice, though, and some custom nods to more good guys and bad guys of the TMNT shows and comics would be nice. It's sadly too underrepresented on here. I hope that you can forgive me due to my stress. I've just been going through a lot and it's been a trying time for me. I've been unemployed for over a year and I want to get on my feet again and I was insulted a lot because I dared to defend the guy from Canada that was booted from LEGOLAND Canada due to his age and that just kind of sent me over the edge.

Very cool figures. As for me, plain cheese is they way to go. ;) Anyways, great use of the rock pieces for shells!

I like pizza with pepperoni AND sausage. Mushrooms are good, too. Ham and turkey also go well together, by the way, especially with some nice crunchy bacon. I think it's time for lunch. Feel free to delete this, Chris ;)

And the funniest part was all I said was that I personally like the older versions better than the newer. Nothing wrong with the new versions. I watch the new one with my daughter on Nick all the time. It's the same as liking the old 80's Transformers cartoon more than the new movies. Is there anything "wrong" with Bay's T-Formers? Well, some would debate but not me, I liked em just fine... I also liked the 80's cartoon more. Which Pizza is your favorite? Sausage or Pepperoni? If you choose Pepperoni are you insulting sausage? (sigh) Oh well... Sorry to clutter up your moc with this Master Roach. I'm gonna go have a turkey sandwich... or... would that be insulting to ham? EDIT: Just reread that little bit and... allow me to quote "We all know that TMNT: The Next Mutation is FAR worse than the new TMNT anyway," So, my opinion is xenophobic but insulting "The next mutation" is perfectly acceptable? What about people who see that version as "THE" definitive one? Liking one thing better than another is fine. It's human nature. Calling out someone and calling them names over their opinion on something as trivial as this... Well... I guess everyone, even you, is entitled to their opinion. Again, sorry for the clutter Master Roach. ~ Chris.

I'm still not sure why you chose to write Mr Phipson two essays here on my MOC. Maybe you should take your issues up with him directly? I don't think this is the right forum and he'll probably never come back here to read these comments anyway. Just saying.
Quoting Jesse Long Chris Phipson, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for clinging to the past and saying that the old-school 1980s cartoon version of TMNT is the only one that is worth liking. As much as I liked that one and grew up with them, for the most part, the Fox/CW one was FAR more accurate to the original comic book story (though the Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers sagas WERE kind of lame), and it was good in its own way. The new series is likewise good in its own way, so do not look down on the youth for liking their version of TMNT. We all know that common sense and intelligence prove that TMNT: The Next Mutation is worth hating if there was a version of TMNT to hate anyway, so quit complaining about the new version of TMNT. Thank you. Now with that being said, if LEGO were smart, they would take away the rights of TMNT from UbiSoft and Murakami-Wolf-Swenson (including all video game and music rights to the first and second generation TMNT series), and they would give TMNT the LEGO video game series treatment but this time, like the PS2, XBox, GameCube, PS3 (PlayStation Network), XBox 360 (XBox Live), Wii Virtual Console and arcade versions of TMNT games, and a first for the LEGO series, they would all be done with a four-player simultaneous action and how about some life-gauges for ALL bad guys in the classic beat-em-up sense instead of just bosses and some interactive environments, please, The LEGO Group? I, for one, would not mind unlocking characters like Tora the Polar Beast, Slash, Groundchuck, Shogun, Han, and those four awesome people that fought alongside the Turtles in those arenas in the second animated TMNT series, just to name a few of the potential characters that could be fought in the game. Oh, and instead of merely just having different slots for multiple versions of the characters in the game, how about we simply have them in a selectable screen like Rock Man/Mega Man games do or we could rotate through their different looks like in the Rock Man X/Mega Man X games like he goes through different power-ups by using the shoulder buttons and the Select button? We could also hide different outfits for characters and classic TMNT show and video game themes in the game by making classic 1980s cartoon TMNT logos be hidden throughout different levels of the game. Furthermore, we can even make much more fleshed out versions of the classic arcade TMNT games be put into this new LEGO version of a TMNT game, too. It's only natural that LEGO make a TMNT game after they make the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game, right? Finally, I like your builds but I wish that they could have made the chains on the nunchaku that Michaelangelo had be shorter this time around, unless if the new show shows otherwise, but, still, they should have included them as a hidden "bonus" in the LEGO sets where he is in, though. Anyway, nice build, Chris Roach, and as for next time, how about you build a LEGO version of Tora the Polar Beast and Shogun from the NES/Famicom port of the first TMNT arcade game and maybe those long-armed dagger guys, the paper tigers, the missile launching snowmen, and the spiked bulldozer thingies, too, please? Thank you.

what is this?
Quoting Jesse Long What is wrong, Chris Phipson? Do you not like people that have a differing view on things than yourself? Did you ever hear of the words that said, "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely?" Well, to be honest, I do not care if you are a mod or not because, like you, I also grew up on the 1980s/1990s TMNT cartoon and 1980s TMNT comic book, and, to be honest, you do us old-school fans a great disservice by only embracing one version of TMNT, in your case, the first TMNT comic series. We all know that TMNT: The Next Mutation is FAR worse than the new TMNT anyway, and if you disagree, then do you mind if I give you the name and number of my psychiatrist so that she can schedule a session for you? Thank you. Oh, and by the way, the rules on MOCPages say that you are to not be mean, rude, on insulting and yet because you are a mod, you think that you can get away with such rules on here. Well, I hate to break it to you, but your rules that you set up also need to be followed by you, too, otherwise you are not only not a true LEGO fan but that you are also not a true TMNT fan, and you are being a liar, you are being judgmental, you are being rude, you are being narrow-minded, you are being xenophobic, you are being hypocritical, and you are being elitist with your views of the TMNT crew. Thank you.

Quoting Levi Koeppel Coolnesssss! great usage of that half rock piece as a shell! As soon as i saw he TMNT set in ToyRus i went 0_0. then inoticed the same thing as you that the heads are too big. Just a question: are the heads custom molded or just helmets that go over regular minifig heads (like Iron Man)?

'Wise man say, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza.' I love those guys! I actually still have the original action figures in a box under my desk. lol Great job. I enjoy how the knee and elbow pads fit in there. The only drawback, as previously stated are the feet but, that's only if you could bring the shell in closer for that pesky center of gravity issue huh? Now, we just have to badger Moodswim to make some too!
