Commander Shepard's sleek ship from Mass Effect 3.
About this creation
The SSV Normandy SR-2 is a Cerberus-built Heavy Stealth Reconnaissance Frigate that was retrofitted by the Systems Alliance between the events of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. A few alterations were made to the internal layout of the ship to allow for more Alliance-oriented operations. The hull was also repainted blue in areas.
Underside. Apologies for the poor photography skills (or lack of) on display in this picture.
I made a stand to display the ship with, and there's a very makeshift Alliance insignia mounted on the front of that.
Whatever those flap things are, they move on my model as well.
...Huh, no shuttles. Shepard must be out saving the galaxy again. Either that, or he's saving some women from their...umm, nevermind...
After finally playing ME3 and finishing it, I once again fell in love with the Normandy and its sleek-ness. I've built versions of the ship before now, but this one beats them all. It involves some simple techniques, but that's all that's needed to achieve the shape. Granted, it's not 100% perfect, and same goes for the colouration; right colours, not all in the right places. Nevertheless, I'm still very proud of it. The question is, what do you think?
Great job on a great ship. Love the games and the vehicles (especially the Mako, that thing goes EVERYWHERE!!!) I too haven't quite figured out why those things on the engine fronts move, but they're cool anyway. Shephard would be proud.
